I have said it before and will say it again. Once you form a tribe, turn off "socialism mode". This is common-sense for free people. Set it so dinos are PERSONALLY OWNED and set it so ONLY ADMINS CAN UNCLAIM. Do this before taming after you create your tribe and dinos cannot be stolen. If you want to secure storage, set PERSONAL LOCKS AND PIN CODES. You can then pin-code things you want to be shared among the tribe and hand out the in code. Everything else would be inaccessible to anybody unless they destroyed it.

Don't forget about cryopods. If whoever joined the server has access to it or have it in hand, it could be an issue.

If the dinos are personally owned they cannot store your dinos in their cryopod. So, no, this would not be an issue. The issue, as I have complained about for years, is that the default setup for a tribe is full socialist. Nobody owns anything, it all belongs to everybody. If you set personal taming and then set personally owned, with or without tribe ridden, the dinos are physically the property of whomever tames them. If a fellow tribemate knocks out one you're trying to tame, he or she can unclaim it and then you claim it. So simple to prevent theft.

Did they even change the cryopod setting in a patch I don't know so that this happen? I recalled previously that even personally owned dino was cryopod-able, it just retains it that way if that is the case.

Perhaps I am mistaken, but I haven't had issue with theft this way. I will try it the next time I play.
