Am I missing something? I think that dire-wolf might be a little bit too squishy to raid that cave. Not sure -- you might be glad it doesn't fit through the entrance. That cave is the hardest cave on the island and it is of the hardest caves that you will ever raid in-game. The largest creature that can fit inside of through the entrance is a dimetrodon. After clearing the entrance a Therizinosaurus can fit through the entire cave (from start-finish). If you want to bring a creature into that cave then you will have to either: Raise the creature inside the main room of the cave after clearing the main-room. You will not be able to leave the main room of the cave while the baby is maturing -- doing so and coming back will trigger spawning mechanics. You can clear the main room out with grappling hooks and fire arrows or high-tier flak and a pump action. Use cryopods to toss a full grown creature into the cave. The cave has some rare-loot; things that are hard to find in blueprints. Mostly tools, guns, gear, and it has some armor. Its where I did manage to farm up some of our pump action shotguns and some of our ASC. Flak. I have had feedback "The cave loot is terrible." and I don't think that to be the cause. I think the cave loot is unique, features boosted sets of things that you really-don't need but the things that it provides aren't available anywhere else on the island. > I recommend (w/ cryo in mind) a melee therizinosaurus escorted by 2-maybe 3 thylacoleos to clear it. Use the fact that the thylas can regenerate their health from raw meat (unlike the theri), use the theris harvesting bonuses to farm meat, use the theriz melee to kill anything that touches the cats, and then use the cats to trigger the aggro of things nested in the cave that ignores the theris existence. Baklap Posted March 21, 2019 Share Posted March 21, 2019 I have been playing on the island for almost half a year now, and i still havent been in that cave.. You will die with your direwolf.
