Color breeding questions

If you are breeding a pair that already have maxed out the mutations cap, can a color mutation still occur? If it can not occur anymore, will it inherit the colors from a random parent, the highest parent or something?

if you are capped on mutations then you're breeding wrong

Colors will be 50/50 random between both parents for each region.

Color mutations always correspond to a stat mutation somewhere.

If both parents have mutation counters of 20/20 or higher, then you wont get a mutation, period.

You shouldn't confuse a color mutation for color blending either, as some people do.

To add to this; if you see a colour, there will always be a corresponding stat mut. If you dont see it, its a speed mut.

Same also works for stats - sometimes you will get a stat mut with no apparent colour.. that colour mut went to an unused colour section on that dino
