PELIC
It would be really great if the events respected the switches for our own servers. It is frustrating to have changes made in the base game that don't respect the changes we've made for ourselves on our private servers. This recent change for the "Valentine's Day" event has jacked everything up, since it makes no sense to increase baby growth without decreasing cuddle timers. At this point, we have to mitigate these changes by manually dividing the cuddle timer by 3 and updating our settings ourselves. Please stop doing this. Thanks. ~P
Rahthos
I support this. I'd like it if they could be a bit more conscientious of unofficial servers and their admins. In the long run, we'll likely be the backbone of ARK. It's not the end of the world having to change some multipliers, however this is just one example. Keep us in mind! Markdh31788
Events on unofficial servers aren’t started by wildcard they have to be started by either the company hosting the servers or the server admins. If you have issues with events starting you could write the company hosting the server and see what they can do
ToeiRei
You can add ?ActiveEvent=None to the startup parameters on the server to disable events. For the starting of events, I run a linux server and the valentines event activated with a patch as stated in the changelog. Same as the winter wonderland. As said, solution is turning off those events if you do not want them by the startup parameter
