20GT
Does anyone use the Plesiosaur to tame a Tusoteuthis? It's got alot of health. Would it be to slow?
Legowarrior145
haven't tamed a tuso yet, but I recommend using a high health mutated turtle with a very good salad and cakes
FeyGriffin
I just use a Mosa, biggest risk is the squid letting go just after you dismount to feed it, other than that it's a pretty easy tame. Don't see why a high health plessy couldn't work as well though (My taming mosa has around 35K health and rarely loses more than 10K on a tame). RasFW
Definitely dont use a turtle. Slow, clunky and frustrating when everything in the ocean aggros onto you. Take a plesi, good saddle. Pump health into it. Swim it near a tuso and dismount so the plesi is between the tuso and you. Make sure it is passive. Once its grabbed, feed the tuso. Whistle it to follow and swim straight up. Your plesi will escape just fine (usually).
BertNoobians
i only use high lvl plesio, leveled in hp. easy tames which require rex kibble. and so also easy replaced. mosa with bed on water surface to respawn on. you can still get arked like we did, tuso insta killed the plesio. but who cares, endgame is broken in every way possible anyway. FenTheReaper
If you have a decent armor saddle you can, just know your timers and don't get grabbed when its completely unnecessary. Protip, fill your plesi with hundreds of cooked meat. It heals twice as much as raw so when it lets go you can go just above its max depth and forcefeed. It's been quite a while, but if I remember correctly, mine had 20-25k hp and a good saddle. I'd also recommend waiting for a 2x event.
Qwertymine
Pretty sure you can use anything that won't die. I used a Megalodon to get a Tuso.
Wazzamaniac
I used a plesio exclusively. Its fast enough and tanky enough it ahould be fine. Turtles arent fast enough to escape most of the time, so the tuso just grabs it again instantly once it drops it.

20GT
lucky by nature says the feed interval for the Tusoteuthis is 13:53. I've always found a long lag after the first feed on any passive. Someone on facebook mentioned a 35 minute wait after the first feed? what have y'all found? 20GT
you don't find a lag when taming passives??? I tamed a basilosaurus sunday and the wait after the first feed was so long all my mutton spoiled. but after the second one it went fast.

TheDonn
I use turtles. It's easy to get one with decent HP, and hit 20k+ HP. I usually take an escort along to pick up other water-baddies that will aggro the turtle. Basilosaurus works well for that, and they are stinkin' easy to tame. If you take an escort, turtles work fantastically. If you want to take one dino to do it all, Plesio is perfectly fine!
