Cryopods reset breeding countdown

So cryopods will reset the ready to breed timer of your female dinos.

How does this make sense for an item that is supposed to help with the tame cap? So for someone who has a bunch of unmutated female dinos for breeding, you must bring your dinos out of cryo around ~24 hours before you want to breed them.(if you get the higher end breeding timer, just cryo the dino and throw it back out and it will randomly change to something else until you get the lower end to reduce the time between breeding.) It just makes more sense the leave them out of cryo and take up tame slots so i dont have to wait the timer to breed them.

Yes this is very lazy coding and the sad part, but honestly its the norm when it comes to WildCard, is that when Jen was talking about the cryopods nearly everything she said was wrong. Preggo dinos do not freeze the pregnancy when cryo-podded but abort the baby, so hurray for WC being Pro-Choice? Also there is zero buff when storing dinos like WC said there would be and finally the timers being reset is just lazy coding on their part.

Because putting a dinosaur in a cryopod is basically the same effect as uploading a dino at a transmitter, supply drop or obb

No it is not. The transmitter will delete any dino uploaded in 24 hours. The transmitter also displays alot more info on the dino than the cyropod which is stupid. There is also a limit of 20 dinos in the transmitter whereas you can probably fit like 300 on your character.

By "same effect" I assume he meant some of it, not just dino deleting.

Does it remove the cooldown or refresh to full duration cooldown?

Cooldowns are randomly given to a dino usually between 24 hours and 48 hours. If you cryo a female after you throw her back out it will randomly give another cooldown. It does not remember any previous cooldowns it starts over.

Another slight annoyance is that they reset the imprint care timer if you cryopod a baby. So, ensure you reach the care/imprint timer before considering to cryopod again (e.g. a Giga which takes insanely long and would normally require you to stay awake most of the night, which is silly).

it makes it more eazy to get full imprinted dino's if you are patient.

just giving you time to go raid your dino back after someone steals your pods to prevent them from dropping/breeding/raising your bloodlines as their own, otherwise they could steal, run off, drop, breed, take the new fert egg off for more breeding, all before you even get a chance to collect your stash (if you had one) to counter raid.
