If Ark Continues, What Would You Rather See Next? (Ext. Spoilers)

There are 5 things I really want.

1) Ability to choose wild minimum level. I really don't want to spend 2 hours, checking DOZENS of ankys, only for the highest level to be a 45... When max is 150.

2) Level rework. At this point, too confusing: 3 Kinds of levels exist: wild, taming effectiviness, and post-tame. All change the stats in different ways.

Why not merge them into one? Would make much more sense than something like that.

Then, as a bonus, when taming a wild dino, the ability to reassign all levels they got before taming. No longer will a 145 be inferior to a 140 because one spent less levels on food/other stat useless on said dino!

3) Make kibbles work like in extinction (some kibbles are classified, as "extraordinary", others "normal" some others "superior" ect.). Right now it takes way too many dinoes to get the kibbles even for a few dinoes. I'd much rather tame  10 mochops, dodos and stegos than 10 pulmios, trikes, stegos, raptors, dilos, ankys, titanoboas and so on.

4) Also, remove the crawling to get in some caves. People just hatch the tames inside/ move the babies inside before they grow. It's just annoying and does NOT have any effect.

5) While we are dreaming, how about SOME PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION. Ark lags a ton. Even if your computer is massive and powerful, it lags.  Ark is a good game. But it would be a great game if the performance was better.

(Note: sp-player here. Never played offical for more than 10 minutes, and based on what I keep hearing, never will)

I'd like to see a kind of an Enhanced PVP Edition that would result in a better more competitive PVP experience.

  • No Tek Tier
  • No Titans
  • No Titanosaurs
  • No Meks
  • No Flyers
  • A new "intense" jungle map that is covered in dense triple canopy jungle.
  • New resources - tin, iron, bronze, steel, lead would replace the generic "metal" resource.
  • The highest tek tier would be metal
  • The introduction of new types of defence turrets
  • The introduction of new siege weapons and sieging mechanics
  • The introduction of new traps and defensive buildings
  •  Big dinosaurs like Brontos/Rexes/Spinos/Giga would be rarer, harder and longer to tame. The Giga's stats and size would be nerfed so that they are on par with the Rex/Spino.
  • Structures on platform dinos would no longer be able to be built over the rider.
  • Tamed Dinosaur stats would be reduced by a bit.
  • Whips no longer disarm people but would only gather items off the ground.
  • A significant reduction in the durability of flak armor.
  • Bolas would no longer work on players.
  • Player movement would be locked at 100%
  • Food and Water stats would give additional benefits
  • Rifles and guns would use ballistics like arrows.
  • Melee weapons would use more stamina when swung.
  • The introduction of new melee weapons with distinct roles, uses, benefits and drawbacks.
  • New types of bows/crossbows.
  • Removal of the crosshair and shots fired from sniper rifles when not using the scope would be random and inaccurate.
  • Removal of caves or changed so they cannot be built in.
  • A minimal graphics setting requirement of "medium" to play on these servers.

I would instantly join this!

The concept of the main game is just too blurry. It neither works for pve nor for pvp really. The content is not balanced and seems like wildcard has just thrown in everything that sounds cool. Too many things are poorly made and too many things are exploitable. The overall picture is a mess.

A game mode that is created with a clear vision would be awesome, no unnecessary and unbalanced stuff. Simple, but functional and fun.

I'd like to see a Greek Mythology themed map, with mostly Greek mythology themed monsters. (Some vanilla Ark creatures could be included because they would fit into the Ancient Greek world)

Tameable:

Minotaurs: About the size of a Rex, with the same HP and Melee strengths. It can hold melee weapons like swords and hatchets. However, if it wields a club, it is given an attack boost.

Centaurs: Unrideable. While having decent stats solo, if 3 or more of these creatures are together they get a pack attack buff. They can be given bows to wield (only wooden bows) and can pelt enemies with arrows. When not holding a bow they use standard melee attacks.

Satyrs: Unrideable. The 'dilos' of the map. They can be given slingshots to fire. Have low hp and attack stats, but decent carry weight. Are good as starter tames.

Cyclopse: The 'Gigas' of the map. Massive creatures that stomp around the map, attacking smaller, weaker creatures. Wild ones have insane attack and hp. Like a Giga, once it's tamed, those stats plunge significantly. However, it's saddle can be used as a mobile smithy. Any weapon crafted in its saddle is given a 25% melee boost.

Nemean Lions: Wild Lions are quite hard to tame. They're impervious to most melee weapons, arrows, tranqs and guns. The only effective way to knock them out/kill one is wail on it with a club (here the Minotaur's club attack would be effective). However, once tamed, they lose their invulnerability to other weapons, but maintain decent stats. If a Nemean Lion is killed and harvested, it gives a NEMEAN LION claw. The claw can be used to craft a new item: BONE ARROWS. Used against other creatures, Bone Arrows do only half the damage of regular arrows. However, when used against a Nemean Lion, it does double the damage of regular arrows, and is effective at killing them. They'd be perfect for fighting a certain boss (Mentioned Below).

Harpies: Another good starter tame. Like 'Pteranodons' they have a good speed stat, but it's other stats are rather poor. Can support the weight of the rider, but can't carry anything larger than a satyr. If attacking when not ridden, it has a dive bomb attack that does damage to both it and its target. A Harpy has high oxygen stat and can be ridden underwater for a lengthy amount of time.

Dryads: Tree beings. Consume mass quantities of berries and veggies. Have the ability to heal nearby creatures.

Potamoi: Think of them as 'Aquatic Rexs' as they have similar melee and HP stats. Great for water combat. Can leave the water to venture on land, but cannot be on land for too long or they will die.

Gorgons: Unrideable. When attacking an enemy, it can hit it with a stun-lock that stuns the target for about 15 seconds. Has sharp razor claws, and can be set to harvest metal.

Banshees: Unrideable. Can screech at enemies and cause physical damage.

Arachnids: Spiders much larger than Araneos, about the size of a Trike. They spit poison webs and can tank damage. Great for base defense.

Pegasus/Pegasii: Only supports one rider, and can't carry others. However, the rider can fire from the saddle while flying. Great for aerial combat.

Empusa: Unrideable. Large bat-like creatures. Solo they have decent stats, but in a group, they get a 'swarm boost'.

Python: Sort of like Basilisks. On land they have basic Melee and Speed stats. However, in the water those stats are boosted, making them perfect water mounts. Great for fighting an underwater boss (Mentioned below).

Laestrogyns: Bulky lumbering creatures with great weight and food stats. It is great for harvesting resources like stone, flint, crystal, and obsidian. However, it is gamble of a tame. Normally, when a creature isn't fed, it dies. However, if a Laestro's food stat gets too low, it will become UNTAMED and aggro on nearby survivors or tames (even other Laestros) and kill them for sustenance. If this happens, the Laestro cannot be retamed, but must be killed or kited away.

Boars: Larger and stronger than daeodons, these beasts have high stamina, speed and HP. They are basically tanks with legs. When moving at full speed, they get a damage resistance. Great for base raiding. Also, while rampaging they collect resources like wood and thatch in bulk.

Laelaps: A demonic cross between a wolf and a ravager.

Tek Versions: Minotaurs, Gorgons, Pegasii and Laelaps have Tek variants (or Automatons as the Greeks called them). Like in vanilla Ark, Tek versions spawn at higher levels with slightly better stats.

UNTAMEABLE

Alphas: Minotaurs, Centaurs, Gorgons, Pythons, Nemean Lions, and Lycans all have Alpha variants.

Giants: These giant beasts roam the map and have two variants: GEGENES: Six armed beasts that can be found protecting precious resources and cave entrances. Easy to aggro, hard to kill. GIGANTES: Beasts that reside in the ground. Are attracted to the Artifacts, as they consume them for nutrients. Can sometimes be found in caves, hunting for that delicacy. If a survivor has an Artifact in their inventory and is traveling the map on foot or mounted, Gigantes will spawn from the ground and attack them. If the survivor is killed, the Artifact disappears from their inventory, consumed by the Giant.

Keres: Winged monsters that traverse the skies. They aggro on any creatures that fly too close.

Eidolons: Basically, ZOMBIFIED versions of some of the above monsters. Mostly found in caves and other grim parts of the map. Eidolon can be struck down, but not killed. Their corpse will reanimate after a short time.

Lycans: Werewolves. Only spawn at night. Have a fairly large aggro range. When attacking, they can transmit mega rabies. Can only be killed with steel crafted weapons. Lycans also have an Alpha and Eidolon forms which are much stronger but don't spawn only at night.

These are just the ones I came up with. Pretty sure there're many more creatures from mythology that would fit here.

Vanilla Ark creatures like Wolves, Bears, Argentavis, Thylos, Hyeanodons, Wyverns, Griffins, Gigantopithicus, Megalodons, Dolphins, Sarcos, Kapros, Tusoteuthis, Karkinos, Castroides, Megaloceros, Ovis, Piranhas, Mantas, Scorpions, Araneos, Onyc, Arthropluria, Mantis, Rock Golems, Equus and Procoptodons work well on this map.

Mini-Bosses

Kraken = It dwells deep beneath the ocean and must be overcome to obtain an artifact.

Cretan Bull = This beast can be found rampaging derp in the depths of a dungeon. Must be put down to claim an artifact.

Talos = Residing in the ruins of 'Hephaestus' Workshop' with an army of untameable tek monsters, this giant Automaton must be broken to collect an artifact.

Phoenix = Slumbering in an active volcano, the Phoenix's sleep must be disturbed to retrieve an artifact

BOSSES:

I like what The Island map did, how (in singleplayer at least) each obelisk summoned a different boss.

Green Obelisk: Summons the massive three headed dog, Cerberus
Red Obelisk: Summons a vicious, nigh indestructible Nemean Lion
Blue Obelisk: Summons a seven headed Hydra. Partly an underwater battle.

I came up with some Artifacts and the challenges that must be overcome

Artifacts

Artifact of the Keen: Must navigate a cave full of INVISIBLE WALKWAYS, populated by high level Empusa.

Artifact of the Onslaught: Must descend into a dungeon where each chamber entered, the number of enemies contained within increases.

Artifact of the Immortal: Guarded by the Phoenix

Artifact of the Valiant: Guarded by the Cretan Bull

Artifact of the Fallen: Deep within the ruins of the Temple of Olympus. Must fight through hordes of Gigantes to claim.

Artifact of the Lost: At the center of a complicated underground maze populated by high-level Minotaurs (Alphas included)

Artifact of the Scurge: Hidden in murky woods populated by rampaging boars and hungry Laestrogyns.

Artifact of the Ancients: Guarded by Talos

Artifact of the Grave: Deep in an Underground crypt, home to Eidolons. After retrieving Artifact, Eidolons damage resistance increases by 50%

Artifact of the Dread: Guarded by the Kraken

Artifact of the Cursed: Hidden in 'Medusa's Lair' Survivors must fight their way past Gorgons. (Alphas included)
