RowletAlex
So from what I’m reading, there’s a new kibble system in Extinction, and it actually seems like it works pretty well, especially to reduce the size of egg farms. What I’m wondering is, has this new kibble system replaced the old one on all maps, or is it for whatever reason Extinction-exclusive?

You use medium sized eggs to make the first (anky/trike/stego size) large to make the second (allo size) and extra large to make the last (bronto/rex) There’s also a fourth made from special eggs like titanoboa, golden hesperornis, and presumably rockdrake/Wyvern/basilisk eggs as well. If this system completely replaced the original system, with creatures having kibble quality preferences based on their size/value as a tame, it would immensely help reduce the problems with the current system because you only need to farm the eggs of four or so species rather than dozens. KrakenOverlord
Does it affect imprinting as well or we still need a farm for that?
Thorium
First time i hear about that. They didn't put it in the patch notes. Originally they wanted to rework the kibble tree shortly after release, but it never happened.

Thorium
Ok, confirmed. You can just build an S+ cooker to see the recipes. Some of them take Extinction resources, so while the kibble probably work outside of extinction you need the resources to make them. The eggs doesnt matter, all the new kibble recipes take any egg. AngrySaltire
Any word on if the new kibble is the imprinting kibble ? It seems like the natural and sensible thing to do, so naturally I dont have my hopes up.
GGSDubSt3pz
do these new kibbles work with the standard dinos aswell? On wiki or dododex its only used for the new creatures but lets say if i want to tame a rex, i still need scorpion kibble or just on of the new ones? RowletAlex
I’m holding out hope that Extinction is simply testing this kibble rework and it will later go global without needing Extinction resources because it works so much better. We stopped receiving word on the rework while Extinction was in development, so it seems like they’re meant to replace the old kibble.
Vynlann
There's actually 6 new kibbles. You forgot about extra small and small. Dodo eggs don't seem to work for either, rather trike eggs work for small. So idk

AngrySaltire
What I would like to know is what brightspark decided to use the the same imprinting kibble list as the island (according to tge wiki) and not the new fangled kibble in Extinction. Anarki
I have read through the replies but no one seemed to answer whether these changes applies to other maps or when these changes were implemented. I imprinted 3 Rexes this weekend on Center (Official) and still had to give Pachy kibble for the imprint so I am guessing the list above only applies to extinction. If this so called kibble change was ARK-wide then I think this would have been advertised in greater detail.
