RipRavage Posted November 7, 2018 Share Posted November 7, 2018 How freaking big is the new DLC, it started downloading when I opened up steam and it ate up over a hundred gbs of space on my hard drive, what the hell. Khilandros Posted November 7, 2018 Share Posted November 7, 2018 It isn't Ark related, it is Steam related Steam downloads the compressed files, unpacks and decrypts files,etc. It needs pretty much double (or more) the amount of hard drive room when installing and updating games. That may be normal. Steam does that to me all the time. Downs and the processes(unzip, copying, etc.), then starts downloading more. And yes, it is annoying. It downloads and does all the hard drive stuff at the same time. Would be so nice if Steam just downloaded all at once, then patched after (like some of the online games). Bark Posted November 7, 2018 Share Posted November 7, 2018 I started with 50 GB free space, downloaded 15 GB / 17.4 GB and then ran out of space???
