Transfering Structure ownership

A friend and I are planning on leaving our current tribe and they agree its for the best, we used what we gathered to build a base but the problem we are running into is, we built our new base while still part of our old tribe

Is there anyway for them to unclaim a whole building?

Nope, on unofficial an admin could transfer ownership, but on official servers this is not possible

Yeah sadly you cant transfer structure ownership, but what you can do is pre-fab a base and keep it in a chest where you want to build your base, then leave the tribe and take the stuff from the chest and then build it. Its sort of a hassle but its the best method just make sure to plan your base well and have all the key items before leaving. Oh and craft extras just incase something doesn't workout so your base isn't half done.

Only way I can think to make it work is to merge tribes.

he is already in the tribe and wants to leave with the base he built. there is no option to leave the tribe with the base you built. i suggest to destroy the base per structure, using the left over resources craft your walls/ceiling etc etc and have your friend with the tribe u intend to join claim the area and leave tribe and rebuild.
