Colaking88
Hello all new to forums not new to ark. I was just curious as someone who has tamed a fair share of gigas, what’s the best post tame dmg roll y’all have gotten? Mines 240 and can’t seem to figure out cause their strange post tame rolls what’s the highest some of y’all have seen. Again post tame stats only not askin for bred op numbers ? Olympus82
Hello, Post tame unleveled 255% is the best we have in our tribe, we tamed it few days ago. (a wild lvl 150 one). The worst post tame melee (for 150 wild giga tamed with kibble) we had was 140%.
Colaking88
Do you find kibble helps? I normally do mutton unless its got a good knock out dmg already and even then have had 230’s drop to 180?
Olympus82
After taming the melee drops because there is a nerf applied to the melee stat : -80 Let's take a 200% melee lvl 150 wild giga : after taming you gain bonus levels (for example 8 levels in melee stat) : 200% + 8*5% = 240%. Then the nerf is applied : 240 - 80 = 160%. The total amount of bonus levels on X1 taming is +70 lvls with kibble and +59 with raw mutton. These levels are randomly attributed to each stats (melee, health, weight etc.). So luck is very important, with the same pre-tame melee and efficiency you can have a lot of possible post-tame melee stats, depending on how much random bonus levels were added to that stat. On our 255% giga we were very lucky, with a good amount of bonus levels attributed to melee stats, and a good pre-tame melee. In order to maximize the probability to have good post-tame melee, tame it with the highest efficiency to get more bonus levels (kibble tame, especially on X1 settings) and tame gigas with high pre-tame melee stat (knock out all 145/150 wild ones and verify the stats with dododex). On X2 taming events you can use mutton if you don't have lot of quetzal kibble (only 3 level penalty compared to kibble) but avoid it on X1 (-11 levels).
