Cross platform XBONE to PC

My husband and I would like to join together on a server after our non dedicated server crashed and lost our whole game.. We are looking at purchasing ark on my laptop to use as a dedicated server for us to use on Xbox, but how do we go about that? Do we need to rent a server or is it just connect and play? 

 

I’ve also got some noob questions..

- is there still a tether on a dedicated server?

- can we lose our game again or can it be backed up?

- will it work pc to Xbox?

- is there an other way to get ark on my pc without needing to buy it? (Which were happy to buy it, just curious)

- will creative mode work because I’m more the builder where he’s more of the tamer/let’s kill stuff?

-can we make the server private or password so no one can join?

 

I can’t think of anything else and I hope I’ve got this in the right area!

Well… Why not join our family server. Running a server is not so simple. Checkout our Webpage: www.ark-server.nu and add xboxplayer DeticatedXbone. (That user is the server)

NO

IF YOU RUN THE SERVER ON A PC, YOU CAN DO BACKUPS

- will it work pc to Xbox?
YES
