Basilisk Taming

Hey, so I know that the general taming method requires rockdrake eggs, but recently I’ve heard that you can substitute rockdrake eggs with wyvern eggs to tame the basilisk, which I suppose makes some sense since rockdrakes are just abberation wyverns and the eggs are very similar in how you acquire them and the way they work. Currently friends and I own a nitrado server and were able to add abberation creatures onto ragnarok. I wanted to know if there was any credibility to the wyvern eggs being usable for basilisk taming or if I have to try something else.

Well good thing I know from experience that's a false rumor bc I had wyvern eggs in my inventory and transferred to abberation by mistake instead of the center and the eggs didn't come with me.

Nah I mean. I have basilisks spawning in ragnarok on our server. So the wyvern eggs don’t despawn there.

I have read that only the rock drake eggs will be eaten by the basilisks. Haven't tried the wyvern eggs, not even to the point of taming them, but I have read that only the drake eggs work.

YeH, I’ve read that as well. Unfortunate. It just means I’ll had to make basalisks a prize in our arena. Thanks for the assist~

You could use a mod to add the drakes and nests.

 

Maybe add fertilized drake eggs as beacon/dino/alpha loot, they would hatch as level 1, but might be able to tame the basilisk.
