Pariahius Posted July 14, 2018 Share Posted July 14, 2018 So I recently came back to give the game a 2nd try, and so far all the Official servers have been terrible (Pillars everywhere, spawn zones gated, clans with [], and speaking as [], etc.) So I'm debating on just getting my own server, what are some tips for this? Morder Posted July 14, 2018 Share Posted July 14, 2018 I was in the same boat. I got beat up in PvP server never going past level 60 and quit the game. I tried to find an unofficial server matching official but it was quite hard and whenever I did, I was basically solo. Honestly, I would suck it up and join an official. I never had so much fun. Pillards are a little annoying but they are mainly to prevent players/griefers to block all resources on the map. No pillars everywhere, no people building massive bases everywhere that lag and cannot be destroyed, lots of people to play with - most servers are 70/70 at peak times, no admin abuse, no issues with not being able to tame dinos because of dino caps. It is a bit like moving from North Korea to America. Total freedom and liberty to work hard and be the best without annoying regulations and other socialist nonsense. Spawnzones gated: If something is blocking you from playing I believe this can reported and will be removed. Clans with [] and speaking with []: This represents a character you don't have enabled on your computer from another language.
