ArcherCC Posted July 11, 2018 Share Posted July 11, 2018 Hey all! I am working on breeding some bears right now and can not for the life of me figure out a good pen design. With th cubs coming out under the mother's I would prefer to have something elevated so they could drop down and run less risk of getting stuck under the mother. D4u2s0t Posted July 11, 2018 Share Posted July 11, 2018 In our old base we had the breeding pens all inside. I would use 1 dino gateway, with a gate, with the pen 1 or 2 panels deep depending on animal types. I would put a wall right down the middle, so when you open the dino gate, inside there is a right and left. I'm not sure if bears specifically fit inside 1 wide structures, so try it but maybe would have to be 2 wide on each side. This provides an area for them to breed, and if the baby is stuck underneath and can't be brought out, you can very easily open the big dino gate and back the mother out for easy access. We had separate areas to raise the babies, but you could also leave the mother out for a bit and the breeding pen can be used as the raising pen now. Just some ideas.
