gcalberto
So, bud of mine tamed a 145 pego. He then asked me to run the stats on ark smart breeder, since he couldn't believe what he saw. Then i did just that and asked another few people to do it. All the results were the same: (Pegomastax, Lvl 217, Female): HP: 1560.1 (60); St: 400 (30); Ox: 645 (33); Fo: 1707.8 (23); We: 95.7 (37); Dm: 304.6% (29); Sp: 150% (4); To: 419.3 (216); Is that really right? As far as i know, a 60 points on a 145 tame is kind of statistically impossible. Am I missing something?

HiImZech
he spent so few points in speed the turtles are ashamed
CyanicEmber
It is statistically impossible. Too bad it didn't happen on something more useful...
Kruemel
I also tamed 2 pegos(150) and both had 55+ points in hp. Seems like they have a tendency for high hp stats
gcalberto
Then my guess would be that Ark smart breeding is not calculating the calculating pego's hp correct point value
Kruemel
But the points fit always and every stat is green. Maybe pegos get a special boost while taming like double the hp points.
gcalberto
That's not the way stat distribution on ark works, and in my oppinion it wouldn't make any sense to change all that for a single stat on a such a minor importance dino like pegos 4 minutes ago, Kruemel said: But the points fit always and every stat is green. Kruemel
Yeah. But when im not wrong pegos are the only creatures without taming efficiency. Maybe thats why they work a bit different.
gcalberto
I wouldn't bet on it, but it's possible
Wazzamaniac
Pegomastax got a drastic hp nerf at some point in the past few months. Considering how unpopular of a tame that is, maybe it just was never noticed by the smart breeder devs?
Volunteer Moderator invincibleqc Posted June 23, 2018 Volunteer Moderator Share Posted June 23, 2018 I just made some tests and here are my results. A level 1 has 120 hp. Force tamed with 100% taming effectiveness gives a 0.3 bonus for a total of 120.3 health. A level 2 with 1 point allocated into health has 160 and force tamed at 160.3, etc. Based on that we know that it has 120 base health, gain 40 per point, and gain a flat 0.3 bonus upon taming. Since the one shown in OP has been tamed legitimately with mejoberries, it tamed at 49.4% taming effectiveness. 49.4 * 0.003 = 0.1482 rounded down to 0.1. So ((1560.1 - 0.1) - 120) / 40 = 36 points. Seems like Smart Breeder is inaccurate/outdated ( @cad might want to check it out in the devkit), so is the wiki that shows a bonus of 0.07 while I assume should be 0.003. EDIT: I got the bonus part entirely wrong. I forgot to turn off singleplayer settings which is why I was getting 0.3 instead of 0.1. The 0.07 bonus is accurate and rounded to 0.1, so we get the same result anyways and the important part is that 120 + (60 * 40) = 2,520 so 60 points into health would be equal or higher. The issue is that Smart Breeder has an increase per point of 24 when it should be 40.
gcalberto
Well, that makes much more sense. Thanks @invincibleqc!

Hi @gcalberto and @invincibleqc, the base HP of a Pegomastax is 120. A long time ago it was 160, and right after taming, the game somehow still assumes the outdated value of 160. After some time, the game recalculates the value (server-restart or putting levels in HP) and the currently valid base-value of 120 will be used. As long as the game has this bug, a pegomastax will always show way too high numbers for HP right after taming and stat extractors won't show the correct numbers.
