Designed and developed by War Drum Studios, ARK: Survival Evolved mobile is free-to-play and puts the dino-taming adventure in the palm of your hand, letting you join forces with tens of thousands of other mobile survivors. On phones and tablets, ARK: Survival Evolved is the same multiplayer game loved on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac and Linux with the entire mysterious island to explore, 80+ dinosaurs and primeval creatures to tame and train, crafting, building, and more! The major difference is ARK: Survival Evolved on mobile is free-to-play with more accessible gameplay developed specifically for on-the-go dinosaur fun!

Mobile features include:

  • Taming: Use cunning strategy and tactics to befriend, ride and breed the many dinosaurs and other primeval creatures roaming the dynamic, persistent ecosystems across land, sea, air, and even underground.
  • Discover: Unearth rare blueprints and Explorer Notes written by previous human denizens of the ARK from across the millennia, detailing the mysterious Island’s creatures and backstory.
  • Craft and build: Using any means necessary - survive, craft weapons, clothes, and items, and build shelters, villages, or even large cities.
  • Plant, harvest, build, level-up, and customize everything visually and functionally, including procedurally-generated RPG statistics for creatures, characters, resources, clothing, gear, and weapons, both primitive and modern.
  • Play alone or team up to survive: Team up with, or prey on, up to 50 other players in a large-scale multiplayer online first-person environment, or choose single player mode to test your mettle against the world solo.
  • Join a tribe: The 'Tribe' system encourages cooperation, by supporting dynamic parties to share resources, experience points, and re-spawn points.

While maintaining the true ARK experience players have come to know and love, this mobilized version of the game has been completely adapted for handheld touch devices allowing for the ultimate survival experience on a mobile device. This includes faster paced gameplay, a unique user interface and a specialised control setup developed specifically for the mobile game.

A new subscription service, called Primal Pass, gives survivors access to an ad-free experience with reserved server slots, free gifts, and more. Additionally, survivors can acquire optional upgrades using Ancient Amber, a new material found throughout the island that allows players to obtain certain buffs for extended periods of time, build unique crafting structures and even resurrect your favorite pet dinosaur back from the dead!

Finally hitting a release date for once Wildcard, lol. Seriously though this will be great, I am wondering how common Ancient Amber will be for players not paying, and how much it will affect those that do choose to pay. I watched most of the ark mobile stuff, most of it just skimming because a lot of it was just basic concepts I knew, but the special items had good descriptions but they never really discussed how much amber will be available to the people not paying, and how pay-to-win will play into affect. Will amber stay in your inventory if you die, that would be nice since it is super rare anyway. I also think the bed foundation idea is really nice, I think you guys should implement that to official servers with a little bit of testing. I feel like these will all be pretty much small tribe servers because I don’t think there will be any mega-tribes. Thank you for your effort Wildcard and I hope this game grows and grows, and maybe an Ark 2 ?

P.S. sorry for the long post

Wildcard didn’t develop this game, War Drum did.

i have a suggestion for a new creature, i was reading on google on it said there may have been giant prehistoric squirrels, and i was thinking how cool it be to have tame able giant squirrel to ride on. and able to climb almost anything and maybe even glide like a flying squirrel. i dont know if im supposed to give suggestions somewhere else. but i just thought that would be sick

Such an application would come in handy if it was combined with current ark games on official servers. As a tool for example, to add meat to feeding through, taming or breeding, when we cant be online by our desktops, outisde of our homes.

So far, the power of the Ark is to enjoy this waste beautiful world using a 43-inch monitor in 4k, and a decent PC. This is so cool that we can make screenshots of dinosaurs and landscapes for wallpapers. Using a convenient setup - mouse and keyboard is also not without significance.

At the moment IMHO I do not see any reason to use mobile ark. It looks unhandy and unfamiliar for me.

what would be awesome is if we had the ability to link up our main accounts to the mobile version and be able to play on the go whilst being connected to your console / PC, like some sort of PS4/xbox/pc login made available on the mobile platform. then we can all imprint at work :)

I will be a good idea but you do know that it will take a lot of storage and power for your phone to be able to run the whole map and the structures already built there
