Advice for the East side underwater cave

I've taken in a 298 tusoteuthes with 60k health and a ascendant saddle, sweet cakes yet I got swarmed, unable to move then died and lost the dino, I hate that all these dinos come out of the walls, and all this was 10ft from the enterance,

 

So what's the best dino and tactic for this cave ?

Basilos. Preferably with a second rider. Solo that cave is tough when it is completely full. My friend uses very fast icthys and kites everything away from drops, but he's insane. I can't pull that off.

Doable with 2 players with mate boosted basilos with decent saddles, 25K HP and 500+ melee, try raise them for imprint bonus. Never do that cave solo if you dont have a raised one with 100+ armored saddle 30K HP and 600+ melee.

Other way is:

Go to scorched, farm some cactus and do some cactus broths, come back to Island and do the cave with no dino, just scuba tank and flippers and use the broths, nothing will agro if u keep the right distance.

1 squid + 1 basil with good saddles will clear the cave easy. 

You can also do 3-4 basil with good saddles and just be sure to fight near that surface water parts of the cavern for their 20hp/sec OP heal.

Two people:  High HP Basil up front pulls all the enemies... swims ahead and just stays still.  Second person follows on a tuso and kills everything.

 

Solo:  Using whistle commands, move any high HP/High saddle armor dino forward to draw the aggro.  You can use a plesi or a mosa since jellies won’t bother the forward dino as it isn’t being ridden.  Follow with tuso and kill everything.
