Do babys eat jerky?

I'm planning to raise some carnivores on Scorched Earth, but as I can't put a tek generator on a quetz I was wondering if I can feed babys jerky?

Just curious, but why do you want to raise babys on a quetz?

Want to raise babys in the Ruins of Nosti. I can fly a quetz there with troughs on. Can place tek troughs but not generator.

Oh nice, well jerkys will work but i think the best options is kibble (like dodo) they have similar spoil time, can stack, but a dodo kibble gives 80 food, and jerky/primed jerky only gives 20/35 food respectively.

Good idea! Can try a combination of both I guess. They should eat the jerky first. And I can atleast wait the 8hrs between prints.

20 for regular jerky? WIki says 25 for both regular and prime. Same as cooked meat. Should test it on a dino.

Tested. 25 food for regular, 50 for prime jerky.

In this case prime jerky can be a good option if you dont have many dodos, good luck!

Another option is cooked lamb chops, also 50 food. Easy enough to sacrifice a few sheep. But I'm going with jerky first.

Maybe you could try cooked fish? It has a pretty good spoil timer and is much easier to get than jerky

I thought of that but fish is very hard to get on scorched earth.

Just go around blue and red obelisk pools. You can get plenty there! Use a theri, moschops or another dino with good harvesting.

Yeah but also. It gives very low food (even for fish eaters, I wish they'd fix that). So it will go down very fast. I don't think I can fill 4 troughs with cooked fish every 8hrs.

And the pools only have coels, right?

I rarely/hardly see any fish swimming around in blue obelisk. There weren't any foundation to stop its spawn either.

For SE i'd use kibble on what you're raising and a trough full of cooked meat. Sometimes the animals like to move in the cave, kibble on them keeps them alive for a while until you come back and fix the problem. And try to keep your quetz from being to close to the walls.
