What's your most terrifying/saddest moments in Ark.

My most terrifying is waching someone steal my Dodo who was not tamed yet but in my fence, the person just flew up to it on a Ptera and snatched it... :( I didn't know how to tame yet and the Dodo was the first Dodo I ever saw. This was a long time ago.

My most saddest is when I finally knew how to tame a Dinos and tamed my first Dino, Sammy (she was a Trike)! I had her in a pen for 1 day until a Alpha Raptor slipped in the walls and got her...

My new terrifying moment that happend the day Beavers came out. I pick up my new Beaver on my bird and was flying away, I by accident released it and it fell to the ground where their was a Alpha and 3 Sabers. I wasn't just going to lose my beaver so many tried to pick him back up, then I ran out of stamina... I waited to regen stamina and for my beaver! The Beaver and my bird where all bloody after.

The most terrifying moment for a lot of people have are when they are getting their tames over a river and a Megaladon attacks...

At the time I didn't know the differences between the aggressions so he was on neutral so he attacked the moment i was attacked. If he was on passive he could have got away with me. :(

Ive had far to many moments to have a most. Early in our first single player game we tamed a big monkey and named he snowball. Long story short we ended up on this things back hiding in a tiny crevice as two spinos stalked by us over and over. It was dark so all we could see was the outline of sails and teeth as they passed. When light came we made a run and got away unnoticed. Haha about a day later we figured out that thing could smash just about anything. Went back for those spins. :) Saddest moment... Last night I was taming a carno in pvp. I was using a pteradon my wife had tamed to fly around and gather meat for the carno. After I tamed it I was having a blast eating turtles and scaring people who saw me (They were just scared. Im always nice so I ment no harm. Suppose id run too.) When suddenly Polly the pterdon I had been using died. I had not fed her and drained her food all the way in flight. My wife was not happy... Camo the Carno lives though!

i just had my saddest moment in ARK. this was on a PvE server.

today i made what i thought was a friend, i made some kibble for him, he made me a saddle, we hunted together and generally had a good time. we decided to join forces in a tribe.

then it was time for me to log off, and when i logged back in a few hours later, i noticed that i woke up outside our base, while i had logged off inside. my pickaxe, hatchet and sickle were gone, and worst of all, all the names of my dino's were red. it said they were my dino's, but i couldn't do anything with them because i was no longer in the tribe they belonged to.

and now all i have are the clothes on my back and my trusty Smaug, the pteranodon he unclaimed so i could reclaim it.

but losing all that isn't even the worst thing, the worst thing was the feeling i got when i realised i got scammed, now THAT really hurt :(

That is some messed up stuff. A reason I've always made sure I was tribe owner. At least my base would still be mine even if my admin went all jerk on me.

I had a very upsetting Ark moment the other night, I will set the scene.....

We are fairly new on a reasonably hostile server so have built a hide away cabin in the woods, we managed to tame a frog to help us get around the island and were finally ready to go out and tame more dino's, initially we were looking for Trike but found a low level Anky but had to tame it the hard way, slingshots to knock it out, and gather by hand the Narco and Mejo berries.

Fast forward 2hours later and Bjorn the Anky was tamed however on the way home a horror set of events occured, a mere few feet from our base in the middle of the night all hell broke loose and my tribe mate on our frog encountered, 2 raptors, 2 scorpions, 1 sabre and 1 argy, I forge on ahead with Bjorn and get him to the gates of our cabin but run back to help out, very quickly, my tribemate dies, William the frog dies, I die and then the scorpions scuttle up and kill the Anky.

To make it slightly more harrowing while the Anky is being murdered we are both in our base but unable to find our way out because it is pitch black and no access to torches.

Things can only get better right?

Saddest: By far has to be when I was taming a Ptera and had it literally moments away from being tamed and a server update occurred and kicked me off... when I returned the bird had been killed. I swear at that point I wanted to kick a puppy and baby at the same time I was so mad/sad. Almost madder than a midget with a yo-yo!

Terrifying: my friend and I were walking along with our dinos following... all of a sudden I glitched through the map and was below the ground. I could see my friend and dinos running around above. There was nothing but water underneath. Luckily I was near the ocean so I swam towards it and somehow ended up above ground. But I was terrified that I was going to die and lose all my armor. No collecting that if Im stuck underground haha.

Most terrifying - Helping my tribe, after just joining them, escort a Gig we just tamed to our southern base. All was going well until we got to the swap. Out of nowhere about 20 bugs surrounded the bird I was on to the point it lagged so hard I couldnt even attack... RIP Bird.

Saddest - 3 Times I tried to breed our direwolves. 1st time - baby glitched and didnt come out of mum properly so died. 2nd time - tribemate forgot to feed it so died. 3rd time - Success! I raised my aptly named Victory to an adult and all was well. Until we went to get pelt in tundra with pack mates Shaggydog(mine) and Lubo(tribemates). I lagged out and got kicked off the server and died, as did the two tribemates I was with. I got back just in time to see both my wolves die. I saved Lubo but I logged off shortly afterwards with a broken heart.

Saddest moment happened tonight when I had just got raided a day prior and lost everything I had my argy and my deodicoros mind I did all this solo and took me so long, anyways I lost most of my motivation after that and decided to finally give it another try and got so good motivation to play again tonight I had another argy down and had gotten my hands on some kibble it was almost done at the same time I was tamong a t Rex half way done. Out of nowhere a alpha t Rex falls from the damn sky kills my argy eats the body so I couldn't recover kibble then after all that was said and done I was still taming my t Rex it was almost done and I run up to it and one of my allies are killing it in a argy and just take off and said they were sorry and didn't know I was taming it. Definitely worst few days I've had on ark

Terrifying - Friend and I both load the game for the first time. Spawn in and it's night time. We see a beacon and run off towards it. As we make our way down the beach my buddy gets attacked by a Dilo. We beat feet out of there but he is hit and can't see. I turn around to help lead him and come face to face with a Scorpion. I try to fight but it knocks me out. Buddy gets his sight back and knocks out the scorpion.

Saddest - Playing on a private server tribemate got my Argent killed. OK fine I'm off to get a new one. I find a 92 wild at Grand Peak. I get about 3/4 through the tame and realize I don't have a saddle. I set Millennium IV to follow and set off for some Chitin or Keratin. Coming down the north side of the mountain I see an Anklo. As I get closer 2 Alpha Raptors  come flying out of no where. I turn to escape and see a Rex chomp on my new bird. I whistle neutral and pull out the crossbow. Rex goes down so time to go. We head up the mountain thinking the Alphas are distracted enough for us to get away.

Que that bone chilling music. I turn and catch a raptor bite to the face. Reflexively I fire the crossbow. And catch Millennium IV right in the raptoring face. Flash some red writing on my screen. I never even got to ride her!

I retired the Millennium name after that.

Scariest/most funny. Our tribe was taming a giga on the northeast river at the big pillar near the water fall. We had two pteras and an argi sitting there, and were tranquing the giga. The giga shifted his feet, gave us a hairy look, and both the pteras instantly slumped to the ground, completely dead. I booked it out of there on my argi.

saddest: I had an argi that I was super attached to, nemesis, who was kited out of base and mauled by an A-Rex. We then locked up the offending tribe for the duration of the universe.

I had come to tell my tale of woe, and it seems you've been struck by something similar. Mine, was a little more bitter to the taste. My betrayal wasn't someone I'd worked with over a day, it was weeks.

It was just the two of us, working together to make a home in the swamp. He was a stranger I met on the server, I was the handsome stranger that let him find comfort in my shack. We build the place up, placed walls saw the walls turn to stone and the dinos grow from the solitary turtle I'd tamed on Day one to the trikes, pteras and other creatures that we'd worked together to tame.

I thought we were going places, then it happened.

I log in to find that I'm now naked. Stripped of all my metal tools, locked in a stupid tiny room because now all the walls he helped replace are showing in another tribe name. When I manage to get out and check out the base, with the limited access I have, there's nothing. Metal, sparkpowder, guns etc all gone and the other storage boxes I can't access since I'm not part of whatever tribe he created when I was gone.

Worst of all is when I go outside he took all the dinos, even my precious little turtle, Troels. No answer to any of my messages and no reason given, he was just gone and so was everything we'd spent weeks building. Perhaps we should start a support group for things like this...

I used to be a member of the biggest tribe on an Xbone pvp server, I logged on one day and we were in the middle of being raided by the next three biggest tribes. It was a massacre, the entire tribe had been offline except for one person who was far from the base when our dinos started dying. By the time we all were on we were trapped in our tower with assault rifles waiting for them to come through the aviary doors. They never did, rather they blew the base of the tower under us up, making all of us easy pickings for the attackers tames. The worst part is that e day before I had just finished up making my amazing pirate ship. Now we all love under the thumb of the two biggest tribes forced to pay taxes and pledge ourselves to the these tribes as their slaves.

Most terrifying is a toss up between when I made my get away on that boat, and one of the tribes attacking us chased me down with a quetz and the one massive deep water Dino. After destroying my raft they circled with the water Dino and toyed with me. It was legitimately terrifying to see. And the time I woke up in their giga cage, where they keep their giga several Rex's and a handful of spinos just hanging out around the cage so if you do somehow get out of it before they decide they're gonna make their dinos eat you you don't really have anywhere to go

My most terrifying/ possibly saddest moment for sure was when the Alpha Rex came out, I didn't know it was even out, me and 3 of my tribe mates were each on a rex near the grand peak. I had took to the front going through the jungle up to the peak, I was quite a head of people and the next thing I know is a huge flaming rex comes over the peak. My first ever rex (lvl 60+) instantly died, followed by my tribe mate's rex. I honestly screamed down my mic to everyone, everyone wondered how the hell I died with rexes then being the apex predator.

Saddest.

The most terrifying moment took place on Server 6, the first official server I ever played on. My tribe and I spent a few days building a base in West Zone, and we were becoming pretty prosperous for lv20s.

One night, though, while we were building, two cracks (gunfire) rang out. One of my tribe mates had been sniped down :'(

Then, out of nowhere, some guy runs up wearing full flak and swinging a sword. Another tribe mate swooped in on a pteranodon, picked the guy up, and flew him up in preparation to drop them. He pulled a shotgun out, though, and gunned our bird, my tribe mate, and himself out of the air.

It was on break, so we could stay up all night. Probably the most intense night ever on Ark. Very fun!

poop hit the fan later on, though. Blew a hole in our base and slaughtered all of our tames. It was the first time I had been truly wiped.

Lookin' back on it, we were some pretty brave lv20s tbh. :D

Terrifying moments, the first time a T Rex charged me for sure!!!

So, me and a buddy started a private dedicated a few weeks back, and have been looking hard for a quetzal.  Just haven't been able to find one.  The one night we spent about 5 hours, literally just flying back and forth across the map, and I have been actively looking for quetzal for a while.  Combined, we had only seen 2, and we were not ready to tame them just yet.  After countless hours, we see one, and begin to plan this long tame.  Anyone who has tamed these know, they cover quite a bit of distance.  We dropped it in a rough area, rexes, fought off a few raptors chewing our downed quetzal, keeping things at bay.  It was a tense, long, arduous tame.  Ended up throwing up a quick fence around it because some of the little guys like the raptors were hard to get too because they were under the wings and whatnot, was making me very nervous to shoot them.

So anyways, 6 hours later, we get a quetzal to bring home.  Finished almost 4am.

the next day, I'm looking for a gallimimus to pick up, all of a sudden, server crashes.  I'm flying low, in raptor territory, with my quetzal hovering in bug zone while trying to get back in the game.  I'm sitting there just saying damn, I know this thing is dead, there's no way bugs are not eating it, I'm going to wake up surrounded by the raptors on the ground, lost all my gear, etc..  Took about 10 minutes to get back in the server.

As I spawn in, and take a look around, the raptors notice me and start moving in.  I look at quetzal with spyglass, whistle him down from his hover in the sky, and jump on for a movie-like escape as the raptors are about to get us.  Wow was that tense.
