Classic difficulty:

Set the difficulty back to 1.0 (or 0.2 I forget if they changed 5.0 to 1.0 on realese) Max wild Dino level at 30, no quality items or blueprints, no turrets and ORP enabled.

The point is to make a more classic ark experience before the wild Dino level was increased and quality items were added. Creatures would be fast to tame and weapons easy to craft so everything is expendable and everything can be replaced at ease. Turrets and plant x would be very overpowered with low level creatures so they should just be removed entirely, the lack of automated defences would make a much different and fresh pvp meta but ORP should be enabled because there are no turrets to defend a base while players are offline.

hopefully these settings would make a much more casual and constant pvp environment where everyone is on a somewhat equal footing and their is no stress in pvp, even if you lose everything it would only take a few hours work to tame and build what was lost so it's all just for the fun of it.

note: as a quality of life thing tamed creature weight and stamina should be increased from the norm because moving around and farming with such low level creatures would be painful when they can't carry you with basic gear and have to stop for stamina every five seconds.

Mutated wild animals PVE Servers, where there is a10% chance of ANIMALS spawning with different COLORS

I think a lot of people loved the events where they could tame COLORFUL DINOS.

I wish it would be always that there are a % chance of catching colored dinos. It’s kinda a solution for people who loves the colored Dino’s but have no time for breeding

Dodos of Doom: 

All dodos on the server become incredibly powerful, and tamed dodos instantly go feral. They become able to fly, can move incredibly fast, and spawn in enormous numbers at night. They become aggressive and can destroy all structures, so tribes big and small will have to fight for their lives against the pigeons from hell.

Reaper Rampage: On Aberration servers (and possibly other maps as well) Subterranean Reaper Kongs and Nameless spawn every night in high numbers, hunting for prey. Reaper queens will rarely spawn, as well. The reapers will all despawn on sunrise, so if you want to fight the reapers make sure you’re able to finish quickly. To help players survive this, all bulbpets will spawn in every zone (so one could get all 4 from the fertile zone)

If that’s too complicated just take out the day/night cycle thing and make the reapers a constant threat. Would be fun to see on Island and Scorched servers as well.

Not really themed, but a good idea for how seasons could work.

  • Small tribes Max(10) 1 Ally allowed or none
  • Seasons that last 2-3 months(or 1 per real season Winter/Fall/Spring/Summer)
  • Increased resources/tame speed/raising dinos
  • Cluster with each map type, maybe 2 of each. Limit max players/tribes per cluster? Like sign up as a tribeor whatever and you only allow X number of tribes, tribes locked
  • Can throw in a seasonal change like, during Winter season its always cold and cold biome dinos spawn with higher chance at good stats. 
  • Modify alpha bosses to be able to be beat with 5 people, and Alpha Tek cave to be beatable with 5 people(right now it takes 20).
  • Cheap BPs or a way to reduce cost? Especially on Island poly is hard, and with shorter time/less people.

Boss Invasion: Simple. Just make it to where a random boss, or multiple, or all of them, spawn and try to destroy bases. Always thought this game needed a mode as to where the whole server had to band together to fight a common foe. Many can show off their battle prowess, and their prized dinos. Make it difficult, with good rewards for killing it. Skins maybe? Tools, gear, something. 

Seasonal: Make there be seasons, Spring, Summer, Fall, & Winter. Spring and fall may be easier times, whilst Summer is hotter, and makes dinos more ornery and hard to deal with, whether it be wild or tamed. Maybe it takes more resources to tame, or they become more aggressive. Winter, possibly make them rarer. Make it a lot harder to find dinos, not like empty the server, but reduce all the spawns. Carnivores may become more aggressive due to herbivore shortages. The Environment changes, too. Maybe in winter, the lakes and swamps freeze, or summer, in the south, its super hot, and you have to move more north.

RED vs BLUE TRIBE WARFARE

There could be a wall between two parts of the map which stops the teams from fighting early game. The players build up, tame and craft as fast as they can (very boosted rates) and then after the timer reaches 0 the wall separating both teams collapses. Then the two teams fight to the death until 1 team has completely wiped out the other team. Certain things shouldn't be allowed though, such as Plant Y as they are often spammed in pvp

  • All engrams unlocked
  • Fast paced PVP
  • Losing doesn't feel punishing
  • Little time investment needed
  • Anyone can play
  • PVP in a controlled environment
  • No super dinos running around
  • Less reason for people to cheat (as nothing they have matters)
  • Short but fun games
  • No more grind
  • Every game could play out differently

Hows that sound? :D

The Horde

Pve

Zombie dinos are 2x stronger then normol dinos

Alpha zombies are 5x stronger then normol dinos

Zombie dinos can be tamed but you must feed them tamed dinos or other players :o

Zombie dinos get stronger at night and will hunt in a pack

Zombie dinos become super aggressive at night and will attack players bases in packs

Zombie wyvern only come out at night to hunt players and attack there base

Zombie call-If a player or tribe is killing to many zombies they will call for the zombie nameless and queen

Some Zombies will carry Swamp Fever or Mega Rabies

Players who are bite and live will turn into a zombie player- Lesser Antidote will cure it

Zombies pack 10-30

 

Zombies are weak against fire

zombie nameless and queen weak against light

 

Zombie dinos drop rotten flesh- used to make zombie gear-You smell like the undead good job they think your one of them

Blood bags can be turned into New dart-Shoot your friend with it and watch zombie run after him-Useful for that player next door that just cant stop pillering:Jerbmad:

I think a small tribe server (2-4 people tribes) would be great. Increased taming, harvesting, and breeding speeds would be a big plus and offline raid protection. I have been part of a 2 person tribe for 2 years and we are able to keep up with large tribes, but cant surpass and are often raided by tribes with a lot more people then ours.

Rag server, Wyverns and dodos only player level cap 500 super stats same items in every kind of drop (Tek armor element air cons Tek rifle etc) all craftablr structure costs 1 of each wyv talon to craft, turrets 100 of each. Thatch can still be made but with only thantch. Super boosted mature, instant ORP, max wyv wild level 380. It works I can provide full ini for this

I'm not sure if you'd be able to implement something like this but i've been having a lot of fun on the Arkpocalypse servers and enjoy the fresh start each month, that being said it's always hard to find people to play with and the servers are usually dominated by the same large groups of people that play together.

Would be nice to have a game mode where you're assigned a into a tribe or faction at the start.

So say there are three factions available to choose from, red, green, blue and you setup spawn points at those obelisks for the faction members to start at and these spawn areas would be control zones.

Each faction would have the chance to fortify the area and control the zone / obelisk and associated spawn area. Enemy factions could attack and gain control of the obelisk and spawn areas, forcing the existing faction to try to battle to regain control or be forced to spawn at outlaying areas or move on to the other maps in order to survive for the rest of the wipe.

It's kind of a rough idea but anything that would help to make the game a little bit more competitive in terms of the battle of numbers that we currently have would be great...

Fight Club Server (Don't have a good name atm sorry)

  • 5-10 Man Tribes max
  • No Alliances
  • Greatly boosted Harvesting/XP
  • SoTF settings for taming, engrams, and combat
  • Heavily buffed drops like in SOTF
  • Wipes weekly
  • Based on Ragnarok/Abberation
  • Breeding/Raising greatly boosted
  • Sole surviving tribe gets Achievement at end of every week + unique skins

- Tek only server (with enough resources for crafting the stuff).

- Bring Back Battle Royale mode (PLEASE, included in the main game launcher so people will notice more and play it. Battle Royales are popular right now and you pulled back yours).

- All dinos are aggresive (even smaller passive ones)

- No dino saddles (so you can mount horses, wolves, Moschops, and pretty much thats it)

- No ammo required for weapons

- Unlimited character inventory weight

- Permanent Nighttime The Island server with pvp gamma.

- Rex only server, (no other dino to tame, but rex kibble came in lootcrates).

- SuperPrimitive server, (limited to thatch structures only, it's pretty much you and your dinos)

I really like the aidea of 2 factions for a monthly wipe server, and I really would like "short" game modes like an hour or less. The two things together would be great if wildcard can use the matchmaking system from SOTF.

Cave fortress server. Cave bonus damage disabled.

 

No movement speed server - for anything. No outrunning dinos you really shouldn't be able to outrun.

 

Underwater warfare servers. Oxygen drain rate reduced to near 0. Jellyfish spawns replaced by manta.

 

Nomad server. No foundation engrams. No cliff or tree platforms. 

 

If it were possible, might be fun to see a server with x10 structure damage resistance on everything that isn't a doorway (gates, doors, windows, etc).

This two mode is very good for casual players and many solo players can fight with honor head to head , but  mod "Limited Tribe Members/No alliances" it should be with max 2/3 members on tribe. Better will be when you made some new servers with on this modes for test like "no taming" before.

We're looking for input from you Survivors today. We've set up a thread and we'd appreciate if you could drop your suggestions into the separate thread below.

Changes will revolve around edits that can be made to the existing config which means modifying ini and server settings. These types of changes can include many things like: tribe/alliance size, anything related to dino stats and taming, server rates, etc. This does not include things like mods.

  • No carnivores
  • Small Dinos only

This a great idea. I think you should make the servers similar to official and extinction. Make it quartley wipes every 3 months cause i liked the idea from the extinction servers but i thought 1 month was to short because people still need time to to recruit people to. And i think most importantly is to stay away from ridiculous things like being able to run 1000 miles an hour cause then nobody can shoot nobody or do nothing. I think for these server you shouldnt be able to have mega tribes, 5 to 10 people is more than enough. But the themes are great maybe one theme is regular ark with boosted drops. Then maybe a theme with no gigas or wyverns. There is many different themes to come up with
