Should Drakes get a damage buff

Recommended Posts

Should Drakes do the same damage as Wyverns with their bite? My Drake Exodus has fifteen percent more melee damage percentage than my wyvern but does around one hundred fifty less damage. Does anyone find that a little unfair, seeing as how Drakes need their Tek saddle to have a projectile and can't fly? Or is it balanced because they have a saddle and can go invisible?

All very good input. Perhaps it is better that they don't do as much damage. It just didn't make all that much sense to me because Drakes are kinda the "melee" or "physical" attack Wyvern in my eyes. They do have a rather slow attack speed, even slower than Wyverns. That, combined with the lower damage makes Drakes feel much weaker than Wyverns in melee combat. The saddle definitely helps it though. If they do add the Tek Wyvern saddle I hope the Drake is made stronger as so that it can keep up. Thanks for all replies!

If anything they should make them do 2x damage to Nameless / Reapers.

I feel drakes are in a good spot for their usage. To stronk and they become flying rexs (much like everyone used wyverns for meat runs etc on Legacy) They have great weight, add insane mobility to a mobility inept map and have saddles!

50% increased attack speed to the headbutt, 20% less damage.  Add a slower claw attack that does a rend and does full damage, but attacks at the normal attack speed and cannot be used in water.

Fighting reaper queens on a drake takes days... and every time it tail swipes you I cringe and pray I don't get pushed under the map.
