Katya Posted April 22, 2018 Share Posted April 22, 2018 War Ensemble is a new US-based PVP cluster started on 4/22/2018. Featuring three maps currently (with potentially more to come), we offer a pretty diverse range of gameplay in the game, with full travel to all three servers. Aberration transfer restrictions are the same as default, you can take anything out, but only items/characters/abberation dinos back in. Expect a pretty laid back community, as we grow. We're hoping to try and steer the server towards PvPvE, to give both types of players a place to play, but obviously this isn't always possible. Our three maps are Aberration, Ragnarok, and Crystal Isles. Ragnarok is our core map, and will most likely also be our most popular map. This map will never be wiped or affected in any way so you can be sure to have a solid gameplay experience on it. Aberration is mostly the same, another solid map but a bit less content, still great fun for anyone new to it or wanting to have a different experience, or maybe you just want to bring your crab over. Our third map/server is a bit of a wildcard right now. I don't recommend anyone to get too used to whatever is on it since we're testing things out. Currently we're trying out ISO Crystal Isles, this is a wildcard sponsored modded map that looks absolutely gorgeous. We've passed on it before, but with the recent update (video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAGspqyrg2w) it seems too good to pass up. If crystal isles works out and we're very happy with it, we'll move to 4 servers, including the Island as the fourth for ascension purposes. Our rules are pretty self-explanatory and cookie cutter. Don't be a giant sausage, don't block spawns, try not to kill every new player you see. We'll put more effort into this as time goes on but we won't suddenly make a rule on the spot and then ban you for it, we understand that rules can be a bit annoying and everyone just wants to have fun. Just like every other advertising post, we'll swear up and down we won't abuse admin, but honestly we'll use it when we need to - getting your trapped dinos out, removing structures under the mesh, and fixing weird bugs. The other admin and myself are pretty active, so you benefit from pretty fast support, even if it comes with the inevitable "did you spawn that in?" question every once in awhile. Admin logging is also enabled. Rates and settings are fairly simple, these almost never deviate, aside from maybe breeding as that's a little hard to get right. Rates: 2x XP 3x Gather 5x Taming 4x Baby Maturation 4x Egg Hatch Settings: Third Person Crosshair (Pretty much here for ziplines)PVP Gamma DISABLED (This is a pretty useful setting, but it ruins the idea of light, day/night cycle, etc) 100 Turret Limit DISABLED (This is almost entirely a setting for official servers with billions of structures and turrets, pretty much entirely to reduce lag) Max Structures 20000 (Have you ever hit the default cap of 5k? Yeah, it sucks) Max Tribe Size 10 Max Alliance Size 2 Max Dino Level 150 There's a lot of really random obscure settings that we honestly just probably forgot. If you think something is REALLY important that we enable/disable, let us know in discord. Mods - This is a pretty heated thing, a lot of people like a ton of mods, and the rest of them like pretty much zero. We've tried to cut down on mods but we don't see a problem in having a little bit of variation. Most of these things are very non intrusive or just quality of life.
