Barry hands down. The only downside to a Barry is it requires fish meat. Other than that, I prefer the Barry. They should fit in all the same caves (other than the north caves the only one that the Barry can't get all the way through is the upper south cave (at least on the island). There I use the Barry to get to the choke point and switch to a saber that I got stuck past the choke point a while back who now just lives in the cave. The Barry has the amazing stun while submerged. They are one of the easiest babies to do assuming you have a spino or another Barry or someway to get a lot of fish meat. The base damage is the same, but I have some leveled Barrys in the 10k health, 600+% melee range that just shred every cave including the swamp cave. Couple that with the fact they swim as well as they do and they became my new personal favorite mounts. I don't even use my sabers and wolves anymore.

I recommend...... bears, lol. bary works well too.  Bary's gain a large amount of health per fish you force feed so they bounce back from encounters really quickly.

Bary, they can jump and TBH I think they are probably more powerful, definitely faster, and far better stamina.

Deffinatly Barry. Add on a pack of hyaenadons and your laughing in the hard swamp cave.

Bears are too fat to be a good caving mount. Nvm if you were joking. Can't tell.
