Using Tek armor instead of haz suit

I feel that tek armor isn’t useful in aberation. What i mean bu useful is using the gear to optimal purpose.  Most of the map is radio active with death fields scattered all over.  If a player had unlocked the engrams and took the time to farm the element, that player should be able to use it to fullest potential.  You can literally breathe underwater but u cant go through a spore deathfield and the 2 seem to be contradicting in alot of ways.  I with many orhers im sure would love to be able to use tek to supplement the various hazmat pieces.  I would love to be able to use it rather than wear to it to goof off like see what i did.  Of course the expectation would be that it would degrade either in durability or element but it makes sense that a self contained ironman like suit could with stand spores and radiation.  Thoughts?
