Ranger1 Posted January 28, 2018 Share Posted January 28, 2018 I would suspect it's so that the Jerboa will in no way become an aid to you in combat. Their purpose is to warn you of bad weather, and to look cute... that's it. Let's face it, they'd have a hard time taking down a large grasshopper, so the restriction ensures that they don't get min/maxed into something useful for combat while still being able to have base stats that aren't so low that they could be killed by harsh language. Well, they can be a useful backpack too, like any other shoulder mount. I've heard stories of bred jerboas born at higher levels through mutations, but I've never seen one myself.
