Drake eggs in singleplayer don't hatch?

I went to sp to see how many air conditioners I will need on my official server. Spawned a drake egg and placed it between 20 air condos, but it only says when it expires, not too hot, too cold or something. PS4 btw.

Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe being a spawned egg it doesn't work. Try to get one from the nests maybe in God mode. It reminds me the wyvern eggs that have 0 health and despawn if dropped on the ground.  But in the case of the Rock Drake it simply doesn't hatch.

In my SP i simply robbed a nest and the egg hatched without issues (BTW 20-25 ACs are enough )

Yes I realized it didn't say fertilized and went into the trench and got one. Wonder why the cheat spawned eggs are not fertilized. 

I need exactly 21 ACs in my green zone spot where it's always 28°C/82°F. 20 ACs make a perfect 2x2 square, the 21th AC ruins it. Lol

^^ glad you found out what was.  I think that is a way to not let the player gave these eggs in another way you know, like an anti-cheat thinghy

ACs are cheap to make, you might as well do a whole floor of them clipped inside each other to the maximum, then cover the floor and drop eggs on the floor above. 

I found that you need 2500-2600 heat insulation to hatch it in fertile chamber.
