You'd figure a foggy sky means less light is shinning down into the water, making it darker and less clear. If anything, being able to see clearly even during the night shouldn't be a thing either. I wouldn't mind it if it happened every once in a while but it happens like 2-3 times in an ark day so most of the time is spent just trying to navigate fog.
