On private Server use fly on official build a temporary platform or use these climbing tools for the cliff platform. If u look up and the platform is above u it wont work. I haven't seen anything, but whether they are aware of the problem depends on whether or not anyone has reported it to the devs via a support ticket. I'd recommend doing so if you haven't already.
