CaptainGiggs
Hi, Can someone explain what it means to be an alpha tribe? It's just means strongest tribe on the server, Or it's a tribe that control specific points on the map? like the obelisks or volcano? Also, saw someone writing about omega tribe, is that also a thing? Thanks!

johnm
It is the tribe that tells you to stop playing on their server.
Royalstar
The alpha tribe isn't an actual ingame mechanism, it's just a term we ark players give to the strongest tribe on the server. Depending on the people in the tribe, they can nice and even helpful to beginners, or they can be total raptorbags and wipe every thatch hut they find. Like you said in your comment @CaptainGiggs, they often control certain areas of the map, and like the other guy said they are often the main factor in your decision to stay on/leave the server. ASucculentSucc
I was on an NA Official PVP server and am now part of an alpha tribe there. The previous alphas were complete trolls and looters, anything not with their name on it was destroyed or taken. Or both. I gathered a tribe of about 40 people who were just like me and had enough, eventually we wiped them and their members all left the server. Now we are the alpha, managing the new people who came to the server.
TheFox
Captaingiggs, I'm sure I read somewhere you and a friend (both in yr 30's) are looking for a tribe to join but now I can't find the discussion. Are you still looking? I may be able to help you.
