Dragons in Ark

Are dragons able to be found/tamed on The Island map? Or is it only a certain map that they can be found on?

If they can only be found on a certain map, can you use a cheat to get them on the island or trade them or anything like that?

They are only found on either the Scorched Earth or Ragnarok map. You do not tame wyverns, rather, you steal eggs from wyvern nests and then hatch and raise the wyvern.

If you are the admin of your server you may use summon commands to summon wild or tamed wyverns to your island map.

And if you see certain Youtubers getting wyverns on The Island map, they're using a map extension to do so.

What is a map extension?

In a way it's like a mod. What it can do is alter the areas of spawning creatures or beacons, or even alter the landscape of maps. In this case, the Youtuber I watch added a map extension to their Island map that adds in a Wyvern crevice in the ocean.

Wyverns are only found naturally on Scorched Earth and Ragnarok maps, but they can be uploaded and transfered from said maps to any other map. They are also able to be spawned in regardless of the map you are in if you are: 1; admin of the server, 2; playing in singleplayer mode.

The only method of taming a wyvern thought is stealing an egg from a nest on those maps or with admin commands.
