The problem though is that there are a whole lot of saltwater animals living in that freshwater so revealing that causes even more complications. These aliens/future humans/robots/whatever sure are lazy with their species and biosphere (re)creations. :D

To be fair, real life has examples of saltwater critters thriving in freshwater, just look to river monsters, where Jeremy Wade found bull shark living and breeding in rivers. Furthermore, these things being a fictional subspecies also allows for some leeway into their choice of aquatic habitation.

That's a good point for smaller animals but I find it hard to believe something like a mosasaurus could have adapted to living in a river considering the amount of food it would have needed. Plus the cramped life style if they managed to breed. So evolving to the point where it could flourish in freshwater is a little hard to consider.

Game-wise I have to admit the "efficiency" (hehe) of the fictional subspecies' creators that ranger1presents mentioned does make sense. If these mosasaurs couldn't survive in freshwater then we wouldn't be able to enjoy them in-game without a whole lot of modifications to the map and gameplay mechanics.

Which means I do consider it a good thing they're not very accurate depictions of the creatures that once existed on Earth. For example, the actual mosasaurus most likely lived near the ocean's surface so the people who like to use rafts would have more to complain about than just the Leedsichthys.

And...therefore...meat should stay generic...because...raw fish meat and raw meat is already too confusing of a system? Or something? (Post now on topic!)

You know what's up dude, everybody here is taking this too seriously. It's not even a big of a deal if they changed it.

Pfft. We're not taking it seriously. We're playing soccer with it. It's fun to bounce ideas around like this. Plus ciabattaroll's post is educational and education is fun!

We named us human but in reality were just an animal that evolved is brain more than anything else. The only reason why our meat is different in real life is because we consume alot of chemical

There a bunch of convicted cannibals said that our meat/human meat is as good any other animal. You might think of tribe cannibal! No just some random guys that killed there neighbors and decide to see if there meat was comestible.

I dont really see why or meat would be different in game. Maybe it could give prime meat.
