Best spot for finding Ovis?

I've been having a really hard time getting mutton. I've followed the spawn sites outlined in the wiki but I'm still having tough luck. Any spots you guys know of or advice? Thanks.

I've found a bunch in the highlands. I've seen them anywhere from the mountain with the abandoned lighthouse to the area with the strange rock formation.

Like phantom said they are the easiest to find in the highlands.  Fly around and if you dont see any go on a killing spree to clear out the existing spawns, leave render and come back to look for ovis.  Wash rinse repeat until you find some, i usually see flocks of 4 to 6 in the highlands and everywhere else i have seen them they spawn solo.  Hope this helps.

Highlands for sure. Especially around the three stone pillars in the middle in my opinion but really entire highlands.

It is even common to find clusters of 3-6 of them there on official servers.

Me and my tribe mates always find them on the beaches in the highlands

We got all ours on an island in the SW.  See them pretty regular.

As others have said, the open grass near the beach in the highlands on ragnarok is by far the best area. They spawn in groups, making for easy mutton collecting whether you tame them first or not

From experience we follow the edges of the cliffs in the highlands all the way to the forest and back, both tiers. We also look along the rivers. Rarely beside the lighthouse, or behind it on the "beach"

Near Read Obelisk are so much of them .... If you cant find any of them near the Obelisk just kill Dinos there high Change for Spawning there..

I have never seen any near the red obelisk. They spawn in the highlands aka Scotland section of the map. You may have to kill some other creatures to clear up the spawns. Also if your server isn't pillared up in that region then the spawns may be blocked and at that point you are kinda sol

Always bring like 6 Sweet Vergetables with you, so you can tame more at once as they often spawn in flock

Fly the border between the highlands and the redwoods, I find a clump of 4 or 5 every time I approach the scar from the south.

Since everyone has already said Highlands, here's some odd spots I've seen them on. The top of the wintry mountain near the west mouth of the canyon river, and the east beach in Viking Bay. I kid you not, I'm still using the mutton from that one. It might have fallen from the high plateaus above that beach though.

Viking bay , mountain edges close to sea , High Lands , The Snowy Mountain where the Ice Cave enterance is, SW islands and the border where new desert ends.
