Great for roaming everywhere with the wall climbing. Never tried terror bird. If this includes caving as exploring I have started using baryoynxs. Small enough to get in most caves, can have a saddle for armour and best of all it can swim. Not as fast or as mobile as a Thyla/Wolf but I could handle just about anything thrown my way dino wise. It was close enough to ground to be able to see stuff that being on a Rex would obscure a little but high enough that a Kapro didn't try and snatch me off. Now it's the Bear. I really like the Bear. So strong, so fast, and surprisingly agile for it's size. I don't have the Kapro protection anymore but I can reach places better while still being able to fend off the stronger animals and pack animals. CeaselessFish Posted September 29, 2017 Share Posted September 29, 2017 Since its remodel; I really like the sabre (prefer modest mounts personally and the Thyla’s a bit much for me) Equus really surprised me too. It’s fast and packs a knockout kick. And the M&P saddle and berry harvesting make for on the go narcotics. Terror birds I enjoy. Fast and glidy and look better than raptors IMO. Baryonyx too. ChargingParacerParacer Posted September 29, 2017 Share Posted September 29, 2017 A well leveled frog for it's agility and speed. They can be tanky and are capable of doing quite a bit of damage too. A Morellatops can be a solid mount too for a it's stats too. My favorite large mount is a Paracer for how much faster than Brontos they are. Both are pretty fast and after leveling have decent health, speed, and melee. Plus you can wield weapons from their back, which means less time on foot and vulnerable. Stone weight reduction (no clue why a horse has stone reduction), can harvest berries on the run, huge jumps, turns into mortar & pestle with a saddle, pumping speed to 200%+ makes it super fast, KO kicks and then you get the lasso feature as well.
