Pappy
The special event for the weekend is already active, therefore they know we are all going to be on taming, breeding, etc. Why wouldn't WC have us download this huge update before they started it? Do they realize how many baby dinos are dying as its downloading? Or how many partial tames are being ruined? They have no planning skills whatsoever. This is just sad. They are completely incapable of learning from their mistakes and have us stuck in this endless loop of constant failure. Get it together WC
ForzaProiettile
Boo hoo. This happens every patch. Are you new to the game? The only thing they need to change is their in-game announcement system. Throw in a count down timer till server goes offline.
Damienxxv7
isnt it great how ark devs always seem to do hot fixs and updates during double xp weekends. ohhh no not during the week when half the community work. right in the 2x weekend. good ol ark im glad u stick to ur routines so were not surprised by anything logical you do ❤

HiImZech
once they did a patch bad and couldn't rollback because steam doesn't answer tickets on weekends so it took like a few hours for some emergency things to happen, not sure if that cost the company anything
Pappy
I honestly don't follow their Twitter too much. A little, but not as much as is needed to work around their bad decisions. They even warned in game saying it would be down for 15 min, giving us the impression we could get back on in 15 min. Not one mention of the size of the update so we could factor that in. Most companies plan ahead for this type of thing in order to keep customers happy. Most big games even let you pre-download games a day before release so you can be ready when it actually comes out. Not WC though, they bait us online with x2 then pull the plug on us a few hours later
