Daedros
Oxygen got nerfed into the ground awhile back in terms of providing swim speed. They literally nerfed the amount of speed gained from Oxygen by 80%. Remember, it's not just Megalodons in the water, but also much faster creatures such as Eels, Mantas, Plesios, etc. Practically no amount of Oxygen (at least not on Official settings) will let you outswim some of them now. Max77
I don't know about the megalodon but you'll need about 300 to swim to the bottom in medium depth if you need to get back to your stuff if killed.

Yeah I watched a video a little while ago and they did a test on it. I think it was "jade plays games"... Could be wrong though about who did it but yeah it's just been super nerfed
rawsh
oxygen is not worth your points anymore, its a dead stat for most people, you are much better off with a highspeed build + flippers
gfan84
I will add, that if you are playing on unofficial or SP, edit your oxygen stats on your character and dinos...it's a blast! Imagine a bronto swimming faster than running on land lol.

gfan84
I'm not quite sure of the reason why they nerfed it to begin with.
Askew
Ok I'm not telling you to tame an ichy, I'm asking you why you do not wish to do this out of interest?
Humunculus
Think about it why would i tame something i cant protect and it will just get killed when im offline only time i tame is 2x or when its convenient like really lowlevel parasaur,so oxygen is relatively useless so how about oxygen to reach medium depths primarily i need to get oil. DarthaNyan
lazarus chowder solves oxygen problems, focal chili solves speed problem, swamp fever solves both problems, combining all of above with flippers makes you aquaman.
