SO, I have paid for it on Xbox and on steam, are you telling me that I will have to now buy scorched earth on my xbox, I have it on my pc,  Can cross play or host with the steam version? it sounds like you need the windows 10 version for cross play, is the steam version now worth less than its xbox equivalent? by the fact that you get a pc version if you buy the xbox version but the steam version which we have all had access to is now only valid on the pc it gives the windows version more value and makes the steam version worth less.. I'm guessing I won't get scorched earth for free on my xbox, even tho I own 3 copies of the game now (xbox windows 10 and steam), and one version of the DLC, how does it work, i bet it ends up costing me..

Win 10 and Xbox can crossplay and share DLC. The Steam version is a completely separate entity. If you don't have Scorched Earth on Xbox/Win 10, only on Steam then to play SE on Xbox/Win10 you will need to buy it again.

So legacy won't get the DDoS protection or better transfering only the new cluster? Way to take a huge dump on the players that got you through to launch and tested your game for you. Good to know tha

So, no customer service to all the people that help you fix the game by dealing with the issues and reporting them. All current issues will never be fixed? But we can't transfer servers to a new serve

This is some of the Dirtiest Stuff wildcard has done (which is saying alot) They wait until 5 days before they delete the servers to present this list. Then they announce that 33% of all servers will

Ark need to be boycotted I used 2 love ark until this i dont care about legacy custumer support but the fact we can't transfer from legacy to the new servers is ridiculous...all that time spent just for my games and base to be lost but wait there's more if u want to transfer the other tribes on other severs make sure u can't come over so u basically have to start fresh on a new server which is crazy...i say again ark should b boycotted

they don't care, they didn't listen about the flier nerf, or the ptera nerf, or to the people begging for annunaki on the xbox, it' s all about the money and the grind. Was really looking forward to using my pc to host a server for me and my friends who all have it on xbox they stopped playing because of the tether, finally there was a glimmer of hope but now I find i need to pay an extra what £20 or is it now bundled so I would have to pay full retail for a disk copy that comes complete. as a business model you guys are making mistakes, you haven't listened to the community and now the pc userbase has a product that is inferior to the windows version, no one uses the windows 10 shop for pc games, and if we did the title hasn't been available, there were all these promises, now told you must own the full xbox copy or sorry go puck yourslf. I bet you will need xbox live to play windows 10 games online soon. another subscription service that unlocks what you already paid for...~

What I expected was to be able to play with friends through my steam version, I'm now expecting to have to buy it first on the windows 10 platform for any kind of cross platform capability, how else do they get us to all keep buying their game, i mean if you haven't hear of or played ark by now you ain't gonna be paying full retail price. I bet the xbox preview is going to be a separate entity to full xbox/windows release too, like microsoft did with minecraft, it was meant to be cross platform so you only paid once, but only worked the one way, the windows 10 isn't the same as the old java, you got more for having the original, atleast they treated their original userbase not punished them

Well the thing about all this is a while back WC stated nobody would have to start over at all from the early access now they have a kill list well all I can say is I have 1 on the kill list and 1 not so while this is ok but not I have to break down one to move to the other and lose half of my supplies I grinded all the hours put in for it as well.  But that's not all while my one server has to be move to the other is not even the main issue now that the kill list is up my server that's not on the kill list has been at a war since then not even able to get on the server because it full not knowing if I will have anything left there at all and then I can't even get my player to my other kill server to remove my tames and building to even put onto my no kill server so this ends up being a lose-lose for me as it seems I can't get on either server so again all of us as early access player for a great upcoming game gets the royal end of things for a game if you ask me and many others is not ready for a full out release do to all the major not minor issues to the game.

I dont know if this is an issue issue for many other players but when you only allow so many players on a server then tell everyone to move to no kill servers you might as well just wipe all the servers at that point because this is the some of it we all become a lose-lose in it

The steam servers complexity are very different and the red tape that Microsoft and Valve would have to go through would be unreal to do this just as a favor. This has nothing to do with Wild Card using the Xbox/windows 10 cross play and saying sorry steam players give me money. It's really to do with Microsoft and Valve thinking about business. Its one thing to say they didn't make the right choice for the fans but, this is a choice Wildcard could never make.  If they honestly wanted to Xbox could cross play with PlayStation and PC. The code would not be impossible or even that difficult to make but, the thought of this deal happening between Sony and Microsoft and Valve would make both their CEO's heads explode.

SO BEFORE YOU RANT ON SOMETHING IN PUBLIC!  CHECK YOUR DAM FACTS FIRST!!!!!!:Jerbmad:

Don't forget either with your MineCraft bit that Microsoft owns Mojang studios. So the deal was between just Valve and Microsoft. This in turn would lead for them to make a easier figure on profits and honestly its a game with a already large player base so not very many copies are still being purchased. With ark its just getting ready for full release and each company ( Microsoft, Sony, Valve ) will fighting fericly against each other to SELL SELL SELL! so they can rake in the royalties.

they misled us for months (actually well over a year now), saying cross platform was coming, they didn't state anywhere the rules of the implementation. Like I say I don't expect any less tho from a company that charged for DLC while still in a preview status, I love the game but an getting tired of this ****. I will not be paying again just for an extra feature of a game that is constantly having identity crisis after crisis, it's changed too much now and the disappointments have become a standard. If anyone wants to take bets I am betting that Ragnorock doesn't drop on the 29th, I bet it gets submitted on the 29th making us all wait till the 1st, I mean its not like they don't know how microshaft like to drag their feet and estimate that into the schedule, it's easier to just blame xbox verification for the delays, I wasn't ever mad about buying a game twice, but now it seems that having it on multiple platforms is still not giving me what was promised. I wish steam would give me a refund now and I'll just buy the extra DLC on my xbox and be done with it. Of course that would never happen. I wonder if microsoft take less than steam for their cut, and this is all just a ploy to get the existing users to re buy the game so they get a bigger slice. Or is it just another one of lifes coincidences...

It's funny you say check your facts first, show me where to check, the forums are becoming so broken that the update schedule didn't mention anything about a delay, when have they been forthcoming with information that is accurate? it has all been speculation until this clarification. Am I meant to search the whole forums instead of asking a damn question and showing my frustrations on the answer?

And the steam versions are different right? I wonder if all of the xbox servers they host all reside on separate xboxes, or if they have custom servers hosted on PC's, If they can do it why can't they share that software, so we can host from a PC too.. Are the windows 10 people able to play with steam people, because they shouldn't be able to if things are so different, and if it is the case they are just splitting up the pc userbase.

The way the game plays it's like no one there has picked up an xbox controller for over a year, the game plays like crap. But I guess it still sells so they bloat it out with more and more useless things no one wants or ever uses.

Look at it from this perspective for a moment, you work for or own studio wilcard a company that has invested millions into a game and you have to protect your investment. Now you've allowed people to play your game for over two years and they have helped you improve your game by exposing exploits, bugs, glitches, flaws and weaknesses in security. You realize people have exposed game breaking things that could potentially negatively affect the official release of the game (remember we all are playing an unofficially released game right now. We'll circle back to that later). I imagine that at this point studio wilcard has realized that the old server which will become legacy servers could potentially negatively affect the official release of the game. All of the exploits, glitches, security weaknesses Duping, DDOS attack etc. could discourage new players from the official release from ever playing the game again. Not to mention all the high-level players on each server that practically control the servers. So what do you do now? Do you continue to run the game as is,  just to keep people already playing the game happy but run the risk of the game becoming so buggy, glitchy, exploited, hacked, DDOS attacked that it is unplayable or do you make the decision to improve the game before its official release and learn from your mistakes so people can continue to play it and enjoy it. Cause remember when we started playing the game before the official release this very this was a reality we all knew we could face one day. Now everyone is giving studio wildcard and these developers a hard time instead of thanking them for allowing you to help build a successful game that you enjoyed playing so much.  I guarantee these decisions were not made lightly but they were the right decisions to help secure the future of the game.

I'm looking forward to going back and starting over and grinding out to become a top player on a server making new alliances and enemies. I still get on and play just for the fun of it even after finding out I won't be able to transfer my stuff while others have given up on the game altogether. I know of too many tribes that were stock piling any thing and everything they could just to go take over a server and they are now pissed cause they cannot.

To believe they are not concerned about customer support shows just how ignorant and uneducated you really are. But by all means, go ahead and continue to complain about studio wildcard because you lost all your imaginary stuff. They listened to fans of their games for over two years and made a great game and I cannot wait to see where they take it next. I hope they continue to make better improvements to the game and continue to listen to their fans while taking into consideration the things that could affect the game in a negative way.

Not gonna bother getting you a tissue to wipe up the brown substance from your nose, nor glasses to read what the main issue is all about, but I will help you by breaking it down for you in the simplest form possible.Bugs have always existed. A few months ago the "official" response was handed down by WC and many of its employees that nothing was going to change and that only a few servers were going to be repurposed, so please keep playing. Fast forward months later when players have held up their end of the bargain, WC backs out. Lack of integrity. Nothing more nothing less. They got the input they needed to make this game what it is today from the loyal players and they left us out to dry.

NO support on legacy servers? So they are just making this to force us to move to new servers...

The cannot keep every server. If they did it would kill the game for people buying it at release, and if they make every server legacy, then it would be too expensive to make new servers and run them.

My tribe and I have put alot of time and effort into raising and 100% inprinting our dinos. We want to move to Ragnarok. We don't mind grinding out new structures,  we grind everyday as a team and are good at it. Our concerns are that the dinos who we have selectively breed , inprinted and cared for, will not be able to move with us.

So you can have an edge on fresh spawns?

to be honest, all these major tribes are wiping each other anyways. I think the bigger the tribe the less they care about server wipes because they get bored of the game after achieving alpha. once they are a dominate force they have everything in the game and nothing else to do but to battle other tribes. if they restart I think they would mostly not care because it gives them reason to play the game again.  its the thrill of becoming alpha but once you get it the game gets boring.

So .... the " Server Saves of Deleted Servers" where are they? would like to save a copy of 'OfficialServer40'  and move some items/dinos to another server. Your not giving me much time to move items/dinos to a new server, for i would like to have the 'OfficialServer40' as it is as a save, not a saved  'OfficialServer40' with nothing in it.  Please help :'(

I just wonder if im the only one that knows what buying a game in alpha (even if its stupidly long) means... they can do "whatever they want"... you accepted it when you bought the game

however.. they said "We will not wipe (ok, we might wipe 10%)" then they said "Legacy will receive FULL support" then they said "We will give ONE MONTH notice" then they said "Legacy will get no support, and we're killing 33% of the servers in 5 days"

See i dont see it right for those who been here from day one like me who build up there base and been threw bs and just us to be forgotten. I dont see why they just dont let veteran players have like 2 weeks to jump from the old servers to a New one and let us bring like only 10 of our dinos and nothing else. It does give new players time to build and even veteran as well and will make us think on what 10 dinos we want to bring and can bring.

I can just imagine the 10 you would bring, and you stroking your kitty with all the fresh meat inbound to ark lol.

Yeah they flip flopped at the last minute. Get over it. I'm losing all my poop too.... But it's the right call for the long-term. Especially with the expected influx of new players from retail release.

And i had stockpiled sooooo much popcorn for the pvp launch Holocaust. :)
