Config Options you want to have at Nitrado Megathread

Recommended Posts

Survivors!

We have heard your call: We know that there's a number of highly demanded features missing from our web interface. And, as promised, we'll work hard on delivering them as quickly as possible.

If you want to make our lives a fair bit easier (and our work faster), please use this thread to gather the config options you want to see first. Please provide the setting's "official name", or at least the exact name it's called in the console menus (because there sure are a lot of different settings), why you think it is an important setting many people would want, and, ideally, a link to the ARK wiki or similar documentation where they're listed in depth.

In an attempt to keep this thread somewhat clean, please:

  • Do not use this thread for the reporting of bugs, issues or anything that's not a configuration option. You're welcome to create other threads for that, we'll see those as well!
  • Aim your post towards one config setting or multiple settings that belong together
  • Do not repost other post's content or flood the thread with discussion, but use the forum's "liking" feature to express that you agree with a setting being important

Thanks!

All the current settings that single player/ player dedicated servers have.

Maybe the ability to turn down graphics but, not up.

Exact stats changes on specific dinosaurs.

Ability to disable alphas

All Primitive + engrams for all server settings that apply.

All dinos added to all server settings.

The ability to ban, kick, whitelist all players on the server from the web interface.

The ability to manual save the server file.

The ability to save the server onto your system.

Most of the these are standard options on the PS4 Dedicated Server we already had, and have now lost. Not being able to do tribal warfare on our server means we cannot do Jousting events as an example.

bPvEAllowTribeWar=Boolean
bPvEAllowTribeWarCancel=Boolean
CropDecaySpeedMultiplier=1.00
CropGrowthSpeedMultiplier=1.00

You only allow for Baby Mature Speed.
If I recall if you do not have the CuddleInterval set to 1/(Baby Mature Speed) you create the ability to not get full imprints. Was a rule of thumb that may have changed, but if not it will cause potential breaking of imprints.

BabyCuddleGracePeriodMultiplier=1.0
BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier=1.0
BabyCuddleLoseImprintQualitySpeedMultiplier=1.0
BabyFoodConsumptionSpeedMultiplier=1.00
BabyImprintingStatScaleMultiplier=1.00

Nice to Have:
HairGrowthSpeedMultiplier=1.00

If there are server issues, or I am out of town for a day and my backup is unable to deal with something
I like a longer buffer in which peoples downloads do not get lost.

TributeItemExpirationSeconds=172800
TributeDinoExpirationSeconds=172800
TributeCharacterExpirationSeconds=172800

Also missing are the settings used to adjust player stats.  I look to boost the weight a smidge on our servers and its completely missing the settings that exist on the PS4 for that.  The settings for my PC Servers look like the following:

PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[0]=1.0
PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[1]=1.0
PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[2]=1.0
PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[3]=1.0
PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[4]=1.0
PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[5]=1.0
PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[6]=1.0
PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[7]=1.0
PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[8]=1.0
PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[9]=1.0
PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[10]=1.0
PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[11]=1.0

where [x] :

0: Health
1: Stamina
2: Torpidity
3: Oxygen
4: Food
5: Water
6: Temperature
7: Weight
8: MeleeDamageMultiplier
9: SpeedMultiplier
10: TemperatureFortitude
11: CraftingSpeedMultiplier

PS.  Also The ability to change Wild Dino and Tamed Dino Stats.   This is part of the standard PS4 settings that vanished.  Right now you only have damage or harvest type multipliers.

Edit:  Almost forgot Admin Logging.  Get a lot of users who will claim people cheat.  there is game logging, but I believe that is different.  We like to run a clean server.  This provides proof of it for those individuals who are paranoid.

Seconding this. Was really disappointed not to see it as an option.

None of the settings really work, it's very basic indeed and so far very dissapointed!

We need:

Baby cuddle multiplier
(u can't imprint properly else)
Player stats per level
Dino stats per level
message-of-the-day
Permanent admin - typing it every session is gunna suck.

MaxNumberOfPlayersInTribe

HarvestResourceItemAmountClassMultipliers

maybe a restricted expertMode

Needs to be pinned! And thanks and big shout out to the Nitrado for actively keeping us informed and reacting fast to the problems and lacks of the settings!

Most of the required settings have been listed here by the others already, just wanted to tell that mostly the player/Dino stat per level sliders and baby growing settings would be the highest demamd ones imo.

Ofc would be awesome to get the ini option for ps4 too, but I guess its not totally on your hands. :)

Agree with all of this, including:

BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier=50.0
BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier=0.0464
BabyImprintingStatScaleMultiplier=3

Some of these have been mentioned, but i'll include them anyway. Also the ability to change the amount of element dropped:

ConfigOverrideSupplyCrateItems=(SupplyCrateClassString="DinoDropInventoryComponent_BossSpider_Easy_C",MinItemSets=1,MaxItemSets=1,NumItemSetsPower=1.0,bSetsRandomWithoutReplacement=true,ItemSets=((MinNumItems=1,MaxNumItems=1,NumItemsPower=1.0,SetWeight=1.0,bItemsRandomWithoutReplacement=true,ItemEntries=((EntryWeight=1.0,ItemClassStrings=("PrimalItemResource_Element_C"),ItemsWeights=(1.0),MinQuantity=100.0,MaxQuantity=100.0,MinQuality=1.0,MaxQuality=1.0,bForceBlueprint=false,ChanceToBeBlueprintOverride=0.0)))))

DinoDropInventoryComponent_BossDragon_Easy_C
DinoDropInventoryComponent_BossDragon_Hard_C
DinoDropInventoryComponent_BossDragon_Medium_C
DinoDropInventoryComponent_BossGorilla_Easy_C
DinoDropInventoryComponent_BossGorilla_Hard_C
DinoDropInventoryComponent_BossGorilla_Medium_C
DinoDropInventoryComponent_BossGorilla_TheCenter_C
DinoDropInventoryComponent_BossManticore_Easy_C
DinoDropInventoryComponent_BossManticore_Hard_C
DinoDropInventoryComponent_BossManticore_Medium_C
DinoDropInventoryComponent_BossSpider_Easy_C
DinoDropInventoryComponent_BossSpider_TheCenter_C
DinoDropInventoryComponent_BossSpider_Hard_C
DinoDropInventoryComponent_BossSpider_Medium_C

The text in cursive being the different bosses.

Edit: Messed up the quotes, however i want the same as user: Brachas

PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player is ESSENTIAL!
on a high rate server with out the ability to modify the weight adjust per stat point you will be overburdened in seconds constantly!
How your beta testers missed this i have no idea !

what we need is *this https://wiki.nitrado.net/en/Advanced_Configuration_Settings_for_ARK:_Survival_Evolved why do we not have that???????? i understand sony do not want us ftping in ("for the players" yeah right) we may find a way to get mods working if we can ftp in and lower their chance of selling us mods as "dlc" but editing config files can be done on pc servers via the webinterface, you have that code, why on earth do we not?
Currently sat here with a completely unusable server as i am missing the above vital settings

Also "Level Experience Ramp Overrides" needs a way to be able to enter multiple entries, on the pc it was not an issue, you just used one of the many tools to generate the required text and pasted it into the ini (would be fixed if you treated us the same as pc users and let us edit the ini files in the web interface!)

Why are we being charged the same for much less features?

EDIT
* Seems sony will not allow this, madness a server we can not fully configure, gee thanks sony!

HarvestAmountMultiplier=3.0

(Specifies the scaling factor for yields from all harvesting activities (chopping down trees, picking berries, carving carcasses, mining rocks, etc.). Higher values increase the amount of materials harvested with each strike)

HarvestHealthMultiplier=3.0

(Specifies the scaling factor for the "health" of items that can be harvested (trees, rocks, carcasses, etc.). Higher values increase the amount of damage (i.e. "number of strikes") such objects can withstand before being destroyed, which results in higher overall harvest yields.)

@game.ini

PlayerHarvestingDamageMultiplier=4.0

A few of those might already be an option, but as the naming is different and the descriptions are different, I'm not 100% sure, I definitely don't see PlayerHarvestingDamageMultiplier

All the baby cuddle interval settings and Player stats settings.

Those two are in the settings under  General - multiplier

also

DifficultyOffset=1.0
OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5.000000

currently the dinos spawn in 1, 3's and so on.
Is there an option to overide?

Also broadcast message isn't working, neither is motd.

Also + 1 to spawn crate options.

This is already in the settings.. My server is running Difficulty 1 and Override 6. Dino's spawn at 180 max.

i can only find Difficulty Offset i set that to 2.5 as i wanted higher level dinos....who then kicked my arse in my test i kind of want to have a range of dinos from low to high, is that what the override does?
