Welcome to Unevolved Gaming, today we are going to take a closer look at the Iguanodon

The Iguanodon is a medium sized herbivore, It's body shows some similarities to both the Parasaur and the Gallimimus, while it's head looks like that of a Stegosaur. The Iguanodon is a gentle animal that will not attack survivors or animals on sight. However, once attacked, they will fight back using their thumb spikes. Iguanodons live in herds and will help defend other Iguanodons that are under attack.
Wild Iguanodons usually walk on their hind legs but they are also capable of running on all fours when they need to.

The Iguanodon is fairly common on the Island with the exception of the snow biome and mountain peaks, they are mostly seen near grasslands and forests and on rare occasion they can even be found in the red woods.

To kill an Iguanodon it is best to use a bola or bear traps to stop the creature from running away, A trapped Iguanodon can be killed fairly easy with melee or ranged weapons.

When killed an Iguanodon can be harvested for raw meat and hide.

Iguanodons can be picked up by a Quetzal and a Megalosaurus and dropped in a taming pen on a location of choice.
It is also possible to lure an Iguanodon into a taming pen by using giant bee honey or rare flowers.

The Iguanodon has low torpor and can be knocked out fairly easy with tranquilizer arrows, darts or shocking tranquilizer darts.
Once knocked out it will eat Microraptor kibble, Vegetables and berries, The wiki states that the Iguanodon can also be tamed on sweet vegetables cake however after testing this does not seem to be working at the moment.
It's torpor can be upheld very easy with a relatively small amount of narcoberries, narcotic or bio toxin.

A saddle to ride the Iguanodon can be crafted in your inventory when you're survivor reaches level 30.

When riding an Iguanodon you can press the left trigger on you're controller to make it walk on all 4 legs, this will allow your Iguanodon to run at a decent speed without using any stamina.

An Iguanodon can also jump by pressing the a button on your controller, this however is only possible when the Iguanodon is walking on its hind legs.

An Iguanodon can also be used to gather berries, thatch and a small amount of wood by pressing the right trigger on your controller. The berries in an Iguanodons inventory can be turned into seeds by holding the y button on your controller and selecting the seed fruit in inventory option.
Seeds can be used for farming or as an ingredient in custom recipes when the server you play on has that option selected.

Even though the Iguanodon has a decent melee attack and can defend itself against small and medium sized predators, using it as an attack animal is not advised due to the Iguanodons low health.

Keep in mind that an Iguanodon uses its thumb spikes to attack. Performing an attack while running is possible but will cause the Iguanodon to exit its four-footed stance.

The Iguanodon can also roar by pressing the right joystick on your controller. however, this does not have any function for attacking or harvesting.

In my opinion the Iguanodon can be a very useful mount. It has a decent carry weight that can be used to transport materials and scout the Island without using any stamina, this can be of great value for starting and medium advanced tribes.

The ability to transform berries in to seeds might seem useful when starting a farm, however there is no real further use for large amounts of seeds, making this ability rather pointless.

That concludes our spotlight on the Iguanodon
