Argentavis vs Wyvern

Considering breeding multiple high level Argys to battle Wyverns allowing us a free shot to capture eggs. How do you think they would do fighting wild Wyverns?

I run a server with about 7 users 3 on (SE) so its what we are going to try to do to catch them, we are working with a few different plans right now. Just not sure which we want to do.

Its possible if the argent can get next to it and attack it from behind, then stay behind it and bite its butt/tail, Ive seen escaped argents on aggressive on a official se server with 1-5 talons in their inventories. Gutsy little birds.

you would be better with an army of pteras

not only are they a lot faster than argies, they only take half the maturation time of argies, thus giving you access to more pteras faster.

 

IMHO you would be better checking out a few youtube vids on how to get eggs after the flyer nerf. a strategy i think would work well is if you try and kite a few dragons away from the egg BEFORE you grab it (they actually loose agro quite easily if you dont have an egg). Then once the area is relatively clear, have a group of ~10 pteras on neutral following you, then you run in and grab the egg. Once the dragons start chasing you, the pteras will attack them and should allow you to get away safe.

Obviously many pteras will die using this technique, you could do it with less if you have a few players willing to help as they can draw the agro.
