Ellenehl
I spent a few days generating maps while watching twitch and this is the result of my endeavors. It's got mountains, trees, not really any deep water (but enough for deep water resources), an inland sea, several good spots for beach and redwood bases, a decent sized snow biome, some nice forests, and plenty of carnivores. [There is a terrain artifact that pops up on the map in a few places; see last pic] PGMapName=IslandEllenehl PGTerrainPropertiesString=MapSeed=980;LandscapeRadius=1;Water Frequency=65;Mountains Frequency=3;Mountains Slope=1.3;MountainsHeight=5;Turbulence Power=0;Shore Slope=10;WaterLevel=-0.71;GrassDensity=0.65;JungleGrassDensity=0.65;ErosionSteps=0;TreesGroundSlopeAccuracy=0.25;DepositionStrength=0.1;ErosionStrength=0.01;OceanFloorLevel=-1.0;SnowBiomeSize=0.26;RWBiomeSize=0.22;MountainBiomeStart=-0.51;MountainsTreeDensity=0.06;JungleBiomeStart=-0.62;IslandBorderCurveExp=35;MaxSawnPointHeight=0.1;SnowGrassDensity=0.25;MountainGrassDensity=0.05;SnowMountainGrassDensity=0.15;UnderwaterObjectsDensity=0.5;SnowMountainsTreeDensity=0.06;TreeDensity=0.006;JungleTreeDensity=0.25;RedWoodTreeDensity=0.01;SnowTreeDensity=2.0;RedwoodGrassDensity=0.04;ShoreTreeDensity=0.10;SnowShoreTreeDensity=0.025;DeepWaterBiomesDepth=-0.18;InlandWaterObjectsDensity=0.5;ShorelineStartOffset=0.07;ShorelineThickness=0.01;MountainGeneralTreesPercent=0.1;TerrainScaleMultiplier=(X=1.0f,Y=1.0f,Z=1.0f);SnowBiomeLocation=(X=0.2f,Y=0.2f);RWForestBiomeLocation=(X=0.3f,Y=0.6f);NorthRegion1Start=(X=0.25f,Y=0.0f);NorthRegion1End=(X=0.416f,Y=0.5f);NorthRegion2Start=(X=0.416f,Y=0.0f);NorthRegion2End=(X=0.582f,Y=0.5f);NorthRegion3Start=(X=0.582f,Y=0.0f);NorthRegion3End=(X=0.75f,Y=0.0f);SouthRegion1Start=(X=0.25f,Y=0.5f);SouthRegion1End=(X=0.416f,Y=1.0f);SouthRegion2Start=(X=0.416f,Y=0.5f);SouthRegion2End=(X=0.582f,Y=1.0f);SouthRegion3Start=(X=0.582f,Y=0.5f);SouthRegion3End=(X=0.75f,Y=1.0f);EastRegion1Start=(X=0.75f,Y=0.0f);EastRegion1End=(X=1.0f,Y=0.333f);EastRegion2Start=(X=0.75f,Y=0.333f);EastRegion2End=(X=1.0f,Y=0.666f);EastRegion3Start=(X=0.75f,Y=0.666f);EastRegion3End=(X=1.0f,Y=1.0f);WestRegion1Start=(X=0.0f,Y=0.0f);WestRegion1End=(X=0.25f,Y=0.333f);WestRegion2Start=(X=0.0f,Y=0.333f);WestRegion2End=(X=0.25f,Y=0.666f);WestRegion3Start=(X=0.0f,Y=0.666f);WestRegion3End=(X=0.25f,Y=1.0f) I consider this an easy map. Terrain navigation is relatively easy (no crazy hills or anything) the only problem is that Mountain Grass Density seems to be broken at this time so the mountains are CRAZY full of stuff. I did the best I could limiting it with Tree Slope but I didn't want to mess up my lowlands forests too much. I can't guarantee that all the spawn locations are great but those are the woes of PGArk, I guess. I set the mountain zone height relatively low because I don't see any benefit in making those trips longer. Like I said, easy map. One warning: I couldn't get custom dino spawners to work so there are no beavers and probably some other things. If someone figures out how to add them successfully please post. I really hate that not all dinos spawn in PGArk. Also, I don't think the biggest of underwater dinos can spawn. I basically through out a whole day just raising the water enough for the inland sea I didn't feel like making a huge ocean component as well. All that said here are some shots. [DILO Ark. Why only imgur. Talk about undocumented. /rant. Enjoy the scenery.] damn, hands This is a problem that comes up on the map. I tried to remove it but I couldn't figure out how. It never seemed to cause any major problems so for something labelled "experimental" I'm ok with it. Oh and here's the map. There's a redwood island under the fingers. Ellenehl
I also couldn't figure out how to get the redwoods not to plant in lines without some serious mountains frequency that I didn't want on the map. Also, huge shoutout to the guide here on this forum. Wouldn't have been possible without it.

jaypak
did you think it thru and put thought into certain parts?... a think you could have all the island the same but then add snow to the maintains so that you have 2 in one!, keep the majority green then redwood Forrest leading upto and round the mountain parts and the beach all round. that way it will look more natural
