The edited list in the first post would be the most accurate. Doed, Stego, Megaloceros, I can confirm firsthand that they work.

However we tried lettuce with an ovis, it didnt work as a passive tame. Dont know if you have to knock them out or if you even can. They are pretty rare on The Center and it got killed before we could try to KO it.

Here's the testing I did in single player, using 3x for taming rate and level 30 dinos:

  • Ankylosaurus - 99.6% taming effectiveness for the crops below (+14 level)
    • Cashew, Fresh Spinach, Fresh Sugar Plant, and Tomato do not work.
    • Fresh Barley, about 14 minutes to tame
    • Fresh Coffee Fruit, about 7 minutes to tame
    • Fresh Rice, about 7 minutes
    • Fresh Sorghum, about 8 minutes
    • Fresh Tea Leaves, about 7 minutes
    • Fresh Tobacco, about 8 minutes
    • Fresh Wheat, about 12 minutes
    • Grapes, about 9 minutes
    • Lettuce, about 8 minutes
    • Soybean, about 16 minutes
  • Castoroides - 99.6% taming effectiveness for the crops below (+14 level)
    • Cashew, Fresh Sugar Plant, and Tomato do not work
    • Fresh Barley, about 16 minutes to tame
    • Fresh Coffee Fruit, about 8 minutes to tame
    • Fresh Rice, about 8 minutes
    • Fresh Sorghum, about 8 minutes,
    • Fresh Spinach, about 8 minutes,
    • Fresh Tea Leaves, about 7 minutes
    • Fresh Tobacco, about 8 minutes
    • Fresh Wheat, about 12 minutes
    • Grapes, about 12 minutes
    • Lettuce, about 8 minutes
    • Soybean, about 16 minutes
  • Ovis - no primitive plus crops work, tried knocking it out with tranquilizer, no inventory to open
  • Lystrosaurus - no primitive plus crops work
  • Equus - every primitive plus crops work, except for Fresh Spinach
  • Mesopithecus - every primitive crops work, except for Fresh Barley, Fresh Wheat, and Soybean
  • Megatherium - no primitive plus meat, whether cooked or raw work
    • Cashew does not work
    • Fresh Barley, takes about 19 minutes with 89.2% taming effectiveness (+13 level)

I am still working on testing other dinos.  I will add more to this list.

Well to be fair. Its not going to happen if anyone changes it to its proper proved state of how it has worked. Like how propel test the food effects here. Making it clear the wiki is wrong. Meaning people might be willing to change it if they can beleave our Proof or test it themselves Fter reading this page.

Did a little science tonight{ 2x weekend} The Castroids eat fresh sorghum. they increase taming by .9 per feed. each feed is about 54 seconds. taming a 150 in just over 2 hours using about 135 of the crop. takes about an hour off crops taming time. Efficacy was same as crops at 83.3 for a lvl 212

Parasur eats coffee at 1.1 per feed

Thanks for taking the time to research this.  Have you been able to do any more?  I'm planning to do some myself in the same way but don't want to waste time on any dinos you've researched since your last post.

Thanks!

Fresh Barley for Doeds way better then kibble

Fresh wheat for stegos insanely fast taming

Fresh rice will cut taming time in half for pretty much every Herb but will have same efficiency as vegetables

Ovis only tame with veggie cakes

Have you tested this? Or are you just going by a list of what used to work?
