tenten
Note: After the new patch in may 2018 I want to give Prim+ another chance. So lets revive this thread... On his twitter Ced mentioned something about taming herbivores with Prim+ crops, like tomatoes for the tickle chicken. Did anyone try that yet? I can't find it in the patch notes, people on my server said it worked with rice. Edit: Confirmed working by users in this Thread/Wiki: Mammoth - Sorghum Megaloceros / Rhino - Soybean Doedicurus - Barley Stego - Wheat Pachy - Rice Gallimimus / Carbonemys / Ankylo - Fresh Tea Leaves Paracer / Ovis - Lettuce Therizino - Rice / Sorghum (no eff.+ but faster tame) unknown - Spinach Procoptodon - Fresh Sugar Giganthopeticus / Monkey - Fresh Coffee Fruit Please send me a PM or make a post in this thread if you tested other taming crops successfully. TheSpirit
This is from steam Patch notes #2 of the beta server: - Made changes to herbivore taming (see list below) - Herbivores will now eat all custom crops - Custom crops are *slightly* better than normal berries/crops for taming/feeding Herbivore Taming Changes Achatina Lettuce Ankylosaurus Chilli Pepper Brontosaurus Cashew Carbonemys Tea Castoroides Sugar Chalicotherium Spinach Diplodocus Grapes Dodo Rice Doedicurus Barley Equus Spinach Gallimimus Tomato Gvigantopithecus Coffee Iguanodon Tea Lystrosaurus Grapes Mammoth Sorghum Megaloceros Soybean Ovis Lettuce Pachy Rice Pachyrhinosaurus Tomato Paracer Cashew Parasaur Rice Pegomastax Barley Phiomia Wheat Procoptodon Soybean Stegosaurus Wheat Therizinosaurus Tomato Titanosaur Tobacco Triceratops Sugar Woolly Rhinoceros Sugar

tenten
The only thing that works is fresh rice on herbivores. I don't think the changes made it into the last updates(s). Another thing is the trade system Ced mentioned on twitter, I think these changes will come with the update 2.0 in 2020 or something....

tenten
I tried the tomato thing and it didn't work on the Therizino. So maybe some things work and others don't?

tenten
You said the Megaloceros was a perfect tame. So is it better then kibble with soybeans?

I paly on a 4X taming and then a lvl 150 eat 3 soybeans and was tamed faster than whit kibble.
skeeta
I take it the blanket sugar tame across the board now is gone? I notice poultry now only stacks in 5's. Does that mean it's still a good food for carnivores?
Farabee
I'm not sure about taming, but when any of my carnivore mounts eat Fresh Poultry, they *lose* health. Makes meat farming for my dinos rather inconvenient.
johnm81
I can confirm most don't work. The stego crop did and it tamed it up really fast.
tenten
Would be nice to get some dev info on that. It feels like Prim+ is getting more and more down the drain. There is no info for upcoming patches or what features will come. Ced rambles about a fantasy on twitter just to confuse us?
SadPanda
It's been quite some time since any info on this has been released, now that primitive+ is the new mode for non-tek officially, is there an actual info from WC that can be validated on what works? This list still is no where near fully working save for a handful.
johnm81
Prim+ is the forgotten step child of WC. Sufficient attention is not given to it. PS there is an official no tek server cluster besides P+.

Namai
The ovis is not working with Lettuce. I will check more and give you a reply soon.
Namai
New update: The Therizino is not working with Tomato. Use fresh rice instead. it doesn't increase the efficienty but your tame will just need the half of the time. The rice will be eaten every 20 dropped food. All other crops need 40 food. I can confirm all of this except the Theri. I tamed one with Sorghum at evolution event with 2x taming. Lvl 145 got 93.4 taming eff(Same as normal crops) but only needed like 2,5hours instead of the 5h with normal crops. Thats not soo bad and sorghum is easy to get at the start. With the right crops you can tame always faster than with kibble. Tamed a 150 megaloceros in 9 mins(26 with kibble).
