Greygor
Starting a New YouTube Channel I'm just preparing my first ever YouTube video. I want to avoid legal pitfalls, is their any page which says what you can and can't reuse. e.g. If I wanted a title intro with a little bit of the latest trailer running behind the text mask, is that allowed? kortniechan
If you are just starting out it prolly wont matter if you use the trailer in the back ground. once you start monetizing videos thats when you have to start paying attention to legality. the rule used to be less than 30 seconds was not infringement. but i think thats not a thing now. but you can get around the copywrite flags by altering the media some. speed it up , slow it down, alter the size , cut it up some. to tell the truth i dont think anyone would object if you left it alone. youtubers repost the trailers all the time. we just don't monetize them. p.s. Look in the creators tab in the youtube there is tons of music you can use for free. you are looking for royalty free or creative commons stuff.
