DESTROYER
What is the max possible damage reduction a dino can get? If I raise a dino with 100% imprint for the bond bonus 30% damage resistance and have a opposite gender dino for mate boost 33% damage resistance is it possible to find a saddle good enough to bring the damage resistance to 100%. Wazzamaniac
I'm going to go on a guess here and say it's a multiplier and not a sum of all the damage resistances. Could be wrong though but I'm sure its not intended to let you reach 100%
slipperyfool
i don't think you can get 100% reduction in the current patch but you can get to nearly 1 i think. (i play on offical so i see 100 armor saddles as borderline op) this are the calculations i done based on the wiki and other forums: (turrets shoot ~2bullets/sec) 1) dino restistence. best tank: turtle /5 on shell 484,484 / 5 = 96,897 2) armor. (op saddle) saddle = 100 / (100 + 4 * 100) = 100 / 500 = 0.2 96.897 * 0.2 = 19,379 (prim saddle) saddle = 100 / (100 + 4 * 25) = 100 / 200 = 0.5 96,897 * 0.5 = 48,449 3) imprint (100%) -30% op saddle = 19,379 - 30% = 13,565 prim saddle = 48,449 - 30% = 33,914 4) mate boost. -33% op saddle = 13,565 -33% = 9,089 prim saddle = 33,914 - 33% = 22,722 5) yuti buff - 40% op saddle = 9,089 - 40% = 5,453 prim saddle= 22,722 - 40% = 13,633 6) battle tartar - 15% op saddle = 5,453 - 15% = 4,635 dps one bullet = 4,635 / 2 = 2,318 prim saddle = 13,633 - 15% = 9,543 dps one bullet = 9,543 / 2 = 4,772 thats all the reduction buffs i know to drain a turret (2*20k turtle) op armor = 40000 / 2,318 = 17260 bullets prim armor = 40000 / 4,772 = 8324 bullets so based on this i don't think you can get 0 damage but this is still an insane amount off bullet soking
banggugyangu
The way armor works, it's technically not possible to reduce damage to 0. You can approach 0 damage, but not actually reach it. You CAN, however, get the damage so low that the attacks of a dino are less than 1. Anything less than 1 damage will result in 0 damage due to the lack of rounding done by the game. In the form of damage, all decimal places are simply dropped. This results in damage that SHOWS as 0 damage and doesn't reduce the dino's health, but in reality is something more like 0.35 damage. Yes, technically this is what you're asking, but technically it's not.
