Pappa801
I have a 158 plesiosaur with almost 300 melee and havent ever tried to kill any yet, due to the fact that i heard if you dont kill them first bite they will knock you off your tame and kill you. So i am definitely a little sketched out. Any advice would be great.
Crows
I'm not sure when it comes to riding a Plesio but they have knocked me off my Spino plenty of times and I just ended up piking them to death. You can use a crossbow too but obviously it's annoying to get off and shoot incase there's any dangers around. You could test it against 1 jellyfish, they don't do that much damage... DeZiLL313
I always make sure the area is clear, jump off and shoot them with the crossbow. Usually 3 or 4 shots tops. And contrary to popular belief, there are Jellyfish closer to the surface where its safer.
Kallor
There are 2 decent ways that I know of. A mosa has large enough AoE that you can kill them before they can hit you, so you just creep up slowly biting. The second option is using a Basil, which is immune to the shock and damage of jellyfish. The downside is that they are too slow to farm efficiently. Might need all it's points into movement speed. Layton
Squid is immune to zap dismount. However, it does slow you down slightly, and I seem to have some difficulty making the squid attack. I don't think it can attack, just move away. Just do the tickle tickle with it's arms, huge AOE, great for killing jellies and collecting biotoxin. Jabbakoid
I use crossbow, in winter zone you can easy find them near ice land and run from them.
pytommy2
My experience: On ichy, use mc or whatever high dmg crossbow, a few shot should kill one mid-high lvl On tuso, just attack with the tentacles before u get close and hit by the jellyfish
Lumitesi
A baryonyx can stunlock them (fight fire with fire eh?) and kill them easily. Just don't let them get too close unstunned.

Only been killed once in water never again lol.. or use flippers and crossbow but it's dangerous.
Dam Son
Have not tamed a basilosaur yet, basically I do the attack on my mosa and slowly swim up to them, letting the AOE get to them before it gets me. Something like this :
Kage360
If it hasn't already been mentioned, Tusoteuthis while difficult to get, is immune to the affect of getting knocked off the saddle, they are your best bet at gathering bio toxin
Tw1sted
crossbow is the best way to kill them and not have anything bad happen
Anthrakx8185
i just use a xbow.
Fenris78
Note that due to a recent patch, Baryonyx is no longer able to stun jellyfish. Just stay far away and use a crossbow, or let your baryonyx do her thing with tail, damaging them in AoE, hoping she got enough torpor to resist (my lovely 131 Baryonyx defeated a horde of high level troodons by herself, so maybe she will do with jellyfish as well ^^). Pappa801
Ive always been skeptical to try ever aince my buddy said he got hit by one and he couldnt move at all and it killed him after a little. Then again he was in a cave ao that thing was probably like level
EronCam
I didn't have any problems killing them with my pike. The stun would knock me off the mount, but not enough to kill me. TONS of bio toxin this week!
Halcyon
Pelagornis (those giant seagulls) can one-shot Cnidaria of any level.
BobRoss
Basil is the easy way, if you want to ride any other aquatic tame i would suggest taking a high lvl xbow with you. I would advise againt this though because you are really vulnerable when dismounted and trying to save your tame.
