MrJonesDK
Hi everyone Our tribe and I have just tamed our 4th Ovis / Sheep today and I kinda have an idea about, that it might spawn in the same location as the Megaloceros but as an rare spawn, just like the alpha raptor shares the same spawns as the raptor. What do you guys think about that? Am I right for wrong? Btw, I just made an video on how to tame the Ovis / Sheep and where I found it: https://youtu.be/bNBH5z5aJFA

Sorrelon
I've tamed 2 of them today, both at Winter's Mouth. They are very rare, they spawn in a region that is full of dangerous predators. They have the same walking and running animation as megaloceros, which might be a problem when you are trying to spot a female ovis from a distance. However, they are tamed passively and taming them is very easy, as a single sweet vegetable cake is enough to instantly tame one, regardless of its level. Also, dont even think about taming one then leaving the are by riding it. They are slow, they have low health and stamina, their stamina depletes quickly and takes forever to refill, and they cannot defend themselves any better than a kairuku. Just make sure to hunt them with an argi, quetz or wyvern, and ride into the sunset with your wooly friend.
headshothunter
The spawning is far and few in between, once you get a pair, breed them

powerstuck
They ARE a copy of female megaloceros model with a slightly modified head (mainly eyes) and added a fur coat on top. Remember we were supposed to get these like 24 hours after the winners of the vote were known.

catnip
We found them on Scorched Earth near the water sources. They are rare but we've managed to tame a small herd of 6 in varying colors. Might want to check there as well as the island and center.

Fenris78
On the Island, I managed to find only one Ovis, wandering on the tall snow cliff of the extreme north-west, approx Lat 25, Lon 13.5. Lucky sheep that managed to not be eaten by crapload of wolves/Rexes spawning every inch of the area... ^^
wildbill
Went looking last night to the location where I had previously found 3 and in one hour found none. I also wandered around a bit to other locations, did not find any. Either bad luck or ninja patch?
Fenris78
One sure fact : if their only spawn points are in the north, near all those predators running around, there will be little to no sheep alive remaining... There has to be another spawn locations, maybe herbivorous island ? Gonna check tonight.
wildbill
The wiki was recently updated to show the locations. It says the most common (Rare) location is Whitesky Peak. I did look there a bit, but not that much. Didn't find any. The Northern Plains where I looked the most is a very rare spawn location. I've found 3 there. Also Winter's Mouth peak is also very rare, and I did search there a bit, didn't find any.
Fenris78
I found a second one in Withesky Peak, around 33 Lat., 23 Lon. A second female one, no male so far... Gotta try another round, but still no luck searching on the two other spawn zones... Hope I can finally breed them for meat, but I expect it to have veeery long cooldown between two matings... PsichotiX
Can't say for certain, not seen one since their release, but a neighbor of mine said they found two right outside their door on the south side of the volcano by the first waterfall North of the gorge on the island
Psych0P3nguin
When these breed, do they breed live sheep or eggs like everything else?

These are mammals, so they have a live birth. There is a Gestation Time of 4h 10m 37s and then a very small sheep is born.
