DonThommo
I'm going to set up a dedicated server soon, any suggestions on helpful rules that help avoid pitfalls of public servers? It'll be people I know generally so rules won't be too difficult to enforce. Thinking of doing PVE and just using wars rather than a PVP server, since a lot of us are still learning the game. Already going to have rules in place blocking building of bases that block spawns on mountains and the volcano, as well as any blocking off of caves, or blocking huge areas with fences. And no spamming of thatch foundations everywhere. Any other suggestions?
Quigly
Roleplay. ;-D No party chat is a good one, but alot of people hate that idea. Its fun to carry a radio around, or leave notes at home (like a bulletin board) to share info with people who spend their days out and about. Plus tribe chat is a real thing. The server i mainly play on, the admin likes to be informed of any impending raids, as he likes to watch to avoid any false accusations of other tribes. Great QC system.
