rafasprog
Hi, I'm a ps4 player and I'm looking for how to create a dedicated server at my home in Brazil. I'm not looking for use my ps4 as dedi, since I have a proper server with enough resources to do it (24/7 on, 4C/8T Xeon 3.5Ghz, SSD and 64GB RAM) I know that it is possible but I've found only for Steam hosting. I prefer host it on a linux environment since I'm very familiar with it. If some dev / admin could help me I'll be very grateful.
Chewbakkah
You can only host servers for like hardware. PC hardware servers for PC players Xbox One for XB1 players PS4/Pro for PS4/Pro players. I also wish for an option to host a server for console players from my PC hardware, but its not possible at this moment.
rafasprog
Actually its hard to imagine that the ps4 official servers are hosted in ps4 consoles. I think that the official servers are hosted on virtual machines, not consoles. It would be nice if the ARK team releases at least the binaries for installing and configure it on certain SO

Chewbakkah
Oh they're for sure not hosting the console servers on a console. But they haven't released that feature for console owners... yet. Lets hope they do, but I have doubts that they will. My doubts come from rules that would be in place through Xbox Live and PSN for connecting to a machine owned by individuals that isn't a console. I'd bet both Sony and Microsoft have rules in place that put many roadblocks in the way of this feature. TLDR: Don't count on this feature. I have my doubts that MS and Sony will let it happen.
