iHEARTyou
As survivors we have no clue how we're stuck on these Arks. However, there's advanced technology at the obelisks and with tek tiers. My theory, alien abduction!

Daedros
Lost 4 of my tamed Megalosaurus somehow. I had them at my Volcano base for weeks, and just the other day i went there, noticed that they were missing, but there were bags on the floor with their saddles in it. Tribe Log didn't show their deaths. I kept them fed too. Only explanation is that as i loaded into the zone, they unstasised, and the map ate them. My tribemate also lost a pre-patch Bulletproof Box Quetzal in a similar way within the past week. It just disappeared one day, despite being kept fed in his base. DomiDarko
I think it has to do with certain places where you "park" them. For example: I parked a Bronto in the eastern swamp and it disappeared after a few days. Then I brought a Mammoth there and it disappeared too. Both were parked where the waterfall-river meets the ocean. On the volcano I lost 2 Doedics as well, both on wandering. I've never got any death-messages for them... iHEARTyou
Real answer is... some areas of the map is considered to be below the map even though it's not (glitch) so when the server run the auto-delete dinos script below map they all get deleted. RIP.
Ark247uk
Also environmental features spawning where dinos are should be prevented making them despawn
